(USS Illuminar — Deck 14, Brig — ACONN Ensign AlexanderDyson — 1347)



Alex was feeling better now that he had some food in his stomach. Heknew that he still had to talk to Kelly about this whole situation, but thatwas a problem for later. ~One issue at the time.~ Because right now, he wasbeing visited by his buddy Dano Vermyx. He was glad to see that Dano hadbrought his violin and some other things to make his stay a bit more pleasant.~Presuming we can get it past the guards and the forcefield.~  


"M'I disturbin' anythin'?" Vermyx began. "I could comeback later if now's inconvenient."

 

“No. Now is it a good time, Dano.”

 

“I’m going to have to inspect those items, sir.” Crewman Larry Day said.

Day took out a tricorder and scanned the objects that Vermyx wascarrying. He cleared the satchel with harmonica and tin cup, along with theviolin. But he stopped when he scanned the cake. The tricorder beeped and heshook his head. ~What did he do, find a file ?~ Alex thought. And then heremembered that Dano was Iotian. Day gave Vermyx a look.

 

“A file, really ?”

The security officer extracted the file from the cake and secured it ina drawer. Then he lowered the force field and nodded. Of course, he was keepingan eye on both them. One the bright side, the apple pie that the file had comefrom looked quite tasty. ~More food is better.~ After all, with Luma’s currentmood towards him, dinner was not a given.

“Well, so much for that.” Alex said. “Thank you for bringing my violin,Dano. But first, let’s eat this cake. You game ?”
