ILLUMINARRPG: (4-1423)- Chancellor Morek

(Qo'nos - Conference Room - Chancellor Morek - 1423)

Morek had been silent through the meeting save for a few grunts and scowls,
he was playing for time and nothing would get done without his approval. To
the Federation contingent he was a mirror image to Captain Sekal who had
been silently watching and waiting while he observed the proceedings. The
Vulcan was not a member of the Federation contingent but had gotten in
based on impeccable credentials and a diplomatic familial  history. Morek
had gloweted at him a nber of times which had not flustered the Vulcan in
the least.

 "We also should think about what has been said, and what we should say,
but Chancellor I have a request.  I have been approached by this Ariel Trei
to be backed for the right to walk the River of Blood."

Morek turned to the head of the House of Nogga with a look of exasperation
and a snarl. "What?" He thundered.

 " Is that who we have become now, Pe'tah?  We are allowing some hybrid
lIch to participate in our most personal rituals?  We are expanding our
empire for the Klingon people.  Klingon people, not hybrids of Klingons
with whoever they chose to... copulate with.  That was the downfall of the
Romulans as they allowed outsiders in."

Morek raIsed his hand. "Let Pe'tah speak."

 "The Klingons have had hybrid children for hundreds of years and we a far
stronger now than ever."

"But none of those abominations have ever claimed rights to be Klingon,"
Eshag rose to his feet and howled.

"Be that as it may, now we have one.  And the House of Nogga is will to
back her claim."

"This is unprecedented." Morek stood to his feet as his face darkened.
"They claim to come in peace while they undermine our traditions and the
ship's Captain spies on the proceedings?" He let out a growl and began
walking pacing. "Who's side will she fight on Pe'tah? Do you know this?"

(Reply: Pe'tah)

"When our ships come to sack the Federation will she be on one of them or
will she face off against us?"

(Reply: Pe'tah)

His closed fist slammed into the chair he had been occupying and it crashed
to its side near the wall. "The Rite of Ascension is for the young as they
win their place into the Empire and stand against its enemies, fighting
them with every weapon until either they or their opponent is destroyed.
THIS IS THE THLINGEN WAY!" His voice had risen to a shout. "Shall we allow
subversives to taint our traditions and our laws?  WHAT ANSWER DO YOU HAVE
TO THAT PE'TAH?"
