Mission: Prelude
Day: 1
Stardate: 2446.03.23
(USS Illuminar - Deck 11, Rec Room – ACONN Alexander Dyson – 1617)
Lieutenant Grey Wolf had arrived, so Alex got to his feet. ~This is going to be rocky.~ But then, this whole day had been like that. The lieutenant didn’t waste any time getting to their attention.
"Pilots, attention!"
Alex snapped to attention and watched as Grey Wolf turned to the Bravo Squadron pilots. If this had been the orphanage, it would have been Mister McDonald that would do the disciplining. He had always been good at this sort of thing. But now was not the time to get lost in memories. Grey Wolf had finished giving the Bravo pilots a piece of her mind and turned to the security officer. And like Deuce, he was surprised that the officer was a Lieutenant-Commander.
The Vulcan security officer began explaining how much trouble they were in. Alex knew that the officer was probably the Illuminar’s Chief of Security. But he did not knew her name. ~I really need to get familiar with the non-pilot people on the ship.~ Of course, he didn’t know everybody IN flight control yet. Long story short, he had plenty of homework to do.
“At worst it would be a transgression of article 90, striking a superior officer, which, if I recall correctly, is a dishonorable discharge and up to five years in a Federation penitentiary.”
Alex made a face. ~So much for my Starfleet career.~

Fortunately for Alex and the other pilots, the conversation continued and eventually turned to alternatives to formal punishment. ~Pff, that was a close one.~ The punishment meant that he would not be able to get any time in the simulator or on the holodeck.
But compared to the other options, it was not that bad. ~And its no worse that the chores you had to do at the orphanage.~ At the orphanage, everybody was expected to help keep the place clean. The Santa Maria was an ancient building and lacked an auto-clean system. But before he could speak up, Corday did.
“I find that an acceptable consequence, Lt. Commander,” He began, before turning to Becca, “And I apologize for my participation in this raucous Becca. Perhaps it would be best if we started cleaning up now?”
“I’m with Snoopy,” Alex said.
