Mission: Space was cool before it mattered

(USS Exeter - Main Science Lab - CSO Lt(sg) Erin Cortez - 1418)


Knowing that the survey team would be with them within the next hour, a
slight uncertainty came into Erin’s mind. She knew the data was solid and
that Parker had confirmed it. However, she also knew that they would want
confirmed and up to date evidence.


Glancing around,  she spotted Ensign Tilkrene and walked over to him,
"Ensign, I would like you to accompany me on a very short field trip."


(Reply Tilkrene)


"The survey team will be here shortly. I want to take a shuttle out and
confirm the readings directly. I would like you to accompany me."


(Reply Tilkrene)


"Good." Turning, Erin glanced over to Parker and said, "Mister Parker,
would you set up a directly link with the shuttle and record all the sensor
data and correlate it with what we have already?"


(Reply Parker)


"Excellent. Let's show them how thorough we are. Ensign Tilkrene,  with
me." Erin said and began to walk out of the lab.
