(Cheron CX-01- interior – Nurse – Ewan McDonald - 1505)

 

“Breathe in…some of these stanchions are more snug than I’d like…there’sa massive downdraft from the stations orbital thrusters too.”

 

“Will we fit?” 

 

He looked at the fast-approaching gap which looked far to small then hewould have liked. 

  

“Nothing I can’t handle, glad she’s as nimble as she is. I’d prefer aValkyrie of course, but this is a far better S&R craft. So things beenquiet in Sickbay?”

 

“Umm Yes sir.” He said distracted. “We still get the regulars but beingpacked going no where is not the most exciting thing to do.”

 

“Same thing happens in flight wings. If you’re after free advice, thenuse that time in simulations, run whatever drills or holoprograms that willhelp you face the very things that you are most scared of….” 

 

~The thing that I am most scared….~

 

“Wow, that was narrow.” 

 

Ewan glanced at he her and swallowed hard. ~…That would be you right now~

 

“That is an option sir, but scenarios only prepare you so much it’s actuallydoing it for real when lives are on the line that makes you understand who youreally are.”

“You mentioned Sir that you flew Valkyries I bet it’s a bit differentthen flying something like the Exeter?”

 

He calmed himself as he spoke. This was not the worst trip he had beenon by a long shot, but he still would like to come back alive from this one.
