Alex was just about to leave his office, sneak off and grab some lunch,
sighing gently, weary, but in good nature he tapped his commbadge. “Jones.”

=/\=Sorry to disturb you sir. I was wondering if you had some time today
for me to discuss an idea with you?=/\=

Alex was abashed to admit that he didn’t know the Lieutenant all that well,
a few conversations but not much more. He’d read Ire’s file, with great
interest, but events had conspired against him. “No time like the present
Lieutenant. If you’re free I’m headed down to the Nine and Dine for a bite
to eat. You’d be welcome to join me if you don’t mind a working lunch?”

“No rush, give it twenty, we’re not exactly rushed off our feet are we.”

(USS Exeter - Nine and Dine - FO Cmdr Alex Jones - 1300)

Alex picked up his drink with a smile and a nod to the barmaid, after a
couple of greetings at the bar, he made his way toward an empty table next
to a window. After a while he saw Ire enter, catching his eye he raised his
hand to help the lieutenant locate him.
