(USS Exeter - Deck 9- Starlight lounge - SOPS/3O Cmdr Tyrek Na’Rel- 1011)




“Do you mean, like, 21st century Toronto? Or…” Heinrich Inquired.


Tyrek was mid drink and held up his hand and wagged his finger.

" No , I mean Toronto. "


“In Toronto I was an actor, playing the character ‘Heinrich Kruze.’ I never
was able to pick up too much about my backstory, but I gathered I was a
terror on set. The second day in that reality I got a copy of the ‘script’
for the opening episode of the second season. And it was…” His voice began
to trail away.


" The script contained details of your real life ? Like the life lived here
in this universe ? That seems rather intrusive." Tyrek remarked, disturbed
by the very thought.


“I think everyone on the crew, if they read the script, would find there
was some part of themselves, some part of their life story that was on that
printed page that they didn’t want anyone else to see. At least, that was
the case for me. But it was only the beginning.”


Tyrek raised a brow.

" Only the beginning ? As if the extreme exposure of your life being put
into written word wasn't enough."


“I don’t know how much I really want to say… But, I do feel like I owe it
to tell you. And maybe it’ll be good for me.” Kruze stated.


Tyrek straightened his posture.

" Heinrich, I have come to consider you a friend and as such let me give
you some friendly advice. There is nothing you owe anyone, The only person
in this life you owe anything to is yourself and I promise you if you take
care of that the rest will work itself out. " Tyrek said with a smile.

" So if you have the desire to share anything with me or anyone else, do it
out of choice and not…" Tyrek paused as he searched his mind for the
correct term to use.

" Self imposed obligation."
