(USS Exeter - Deck 9- Starlight lounge - SOPS/3O Cmdr Tyrek Na’Rel-1004)


For the time of day there was a remarkable number of people at the
Starlight lounge. The beautiful light emanating from the nebula reflected
off of  nearly every surface in the lounge, adding a certain flare to the
environment.


Tyrek and Dr.Kruze were sitting at the side section of the main bar having
a perfect view of the lounge and its entrance.


" Are you sure you don't want to try the Romulan ale? The captain saw to it
that authentic stock was brought on board. " The bartender asked Tyrek.


Tyrek raised his brow. " Authentic you say ? What year is it ?"


The bartender grabbed a bottle of the blue alcohol from the ornately lit
top shelf and observed its label. " 2399, turn of the century."


Tyrek rolled his eyes.

" You do know that anything after the year 2387 isn't authentic right ? And
the only acceptable substitute wasn't produced until around 2418 and it
wasn't produced by Romulans, it was our Reman counterparts who replicated
the beverage, but that was short lived because the distiller didn't have
the appropriate license to produce and distribute the product. In 2424 The
remaining stock was confiscated under the Treskem act, although some of it
made its way into the private collections of a few senators. " Tyrek
explained with a smile and took another drink of his MelShat, a romulan
whiskey.


" Oh…so you know your alcohol huh?" The bartender asked with a friendly
smile.


" No not by any means, I just know the history of Romulan law " Tyrek
smiled back at him.


The bartender turned to Kruze.

" Is there anything you'd like to try Sir? We have a wide selection of
authentics…" glancing at Tyrek.

" Some are apparently more authentic than others."

" Yes Sir." The bartender nodded and walked away.
