(Exeter – Beam Me Up- CTO - Lieutenant – Ire Williams/Megan Tatlock -  2132)

 

“Do you mind if I join you?”

 

Ire looked up from his tea and saw Megan was standing beside him with atray of cookies and mug of something hot. There was not a lot of people hereand he had just popped into grab a quick cuppa before going home. He needed topick up some muffins and cookies for Greta but wanted to finish this lastreport before stopping.

 

“Yes of course please sit.”

 

He placed his PADD on the table and indicated the empty chair. 

 

“Thank you so much.”

 

“You are Miss Tatlock Captain and Ensign William’s nanny.”

 

She smiled back and nodded as she began to nibble at her cookies.

 

“Yes, I am. I am sorry if I am disturbing you?”

 

He was her indicate to the PADD and shook his head.

 

“It’s okay it’s just a report. How are you finding things on theExeter?”

 

“It’s different from my last nannying job. I was on a starbase. Italmost felt like I was planet side. Although it’s been nice being on a starshipgoing to different places and having ever changing view out the window.”

 

“How are the kids?”

 

Her smile widened.

 

“Ow they are so lovely and exhausting in their own unique way whichmakes it a pleasure to be around. They just don’t stop I am sure that I havewalked for mile just to keep up and always wanting to do and see new thingswhich is lovely.”

 

“Although it’s nice to have some adult conversation now and again so Ido appreciate this.”

 

Ire smiled back.

 

“How was your day if you don’t mind me asking?”

 

“It was good..” He indicated to the PADD “..but reports never end. Justwaiting for some muffins and cookies to come and then I will head home.”

 

“For yourself?”

 

Ire smiled.

 

“No no. For Greta she has had a long day and deserves it.”

 

“Sounds like a lucky lady to get cookies and muffins.”

 

Ire smiled.

 

“I am the lucky one.”

 

He looked up to see Bell indicating to him and he looked over at Megan.

 

“I am sorry I have to go. It was nice chatting to you.”

 

“Nice to talk to you too. Have a good evening.”

 

“Thank and you too.”

 

Ire stood and headed over to Bell.

 

“Thank you so much for these Greta is going to love them.”

“No, I am not in trouble and trying to get out of it by bribery, shecame by earlier and put something into perspective and this is my way to saythanks.”
