Day: 1

Stardate: 2446.04.25

(Exeter – Personal Quarters - Lieutenant Ire Williams/ Lieutenant (jg) Greta Smith - 2201)

Ire stepped into the quarters that he shared with Greta. He knew that she had had a long day and did not want to disturb her if she was napping on the sofa.

“Hey Fly Girl you still awake?”

He made sure that the muffins and cookies were out of sight as he stepped further into the room.

Greta opened her eyes and yawned. Having spent the last half an hour napping on the sofa, she pulled back the blanket and sat up, "Now I am. Hey Boss man."

“Ow I am sorry to wake you. I know that you have had a long day.”

"Hey, it's all good." She replied,  stretching.

“How did your shift go?”

"It went. Not much going on. You?"

“No one died so that’s a win.”

She smiled softly. "Come sit. I missed you."

He smiled as he sat down beside her.

“I have missed you too.”

He showed her the small box from Beam Me Up. “I got you some from Beam Me Up. Partly to say thank you for this morning and also because I missed you as well.”

"You didn't need to. It's what I do." She replied smiling, "what's in here?"

He handed her the box.

“They had some muffies and cookies that I think that you might like.”

Taking the box, she leant forward and kissed his cheek, "What did I do to deserve you?"

“I am the lucky one.”

"We are sharing these." She replied with a grin as she opened the box.

“Depends if there are left.” He smiled back. “They are your favourites after all.”

"You remembered?" She exclaimed as she took a bite into the first cookie and lay back on the sofa, "Oh my… Ire.. these are amazing. "

“They were hand made by Trixie.” ~Or as close as you can get to hand made on a starship~

"So.. how was your day, boss man?"

“No one died, which is always a good starting point. Did some training which was good. I probably learnt more than they did. Although having Tyrek and Keria watching had its own pressure I can tell you.”

Greta nodded, "Not half as bad as making a boo boo with the Captain’s daughter. "

Ire looked at her. “What?”

"She wa son the bridge in the big chair so I turned round and recommended that we go to the second star on the right and straight on until morning… I could tell by the look on his face that the Captain wasn't happy."

Ire smiled. “Ow no.”

"I was just trying to be kid friendly.." she replied with a sigh.

“I am sure he knew that you were just being nice.”

"I don't know." She replied with a heavy sigh.

“No tantrum or meltdown?”

"No."

“I guess that we did not fly off to never never land as we are still stationed by this nebula.”

Greta raised an eyebrow and looked at him, "I don't know about you but this nebula is beginning to feel like it will never end."

“Yes I know. It's nice not to be in constant stress but it would be nice for something to happen?”

"Might be good to get some action soon."

“Really you have some kind of mystic ball that will tell you the future?”

She, with a wicked glint in her eyes, replied,  "maybe I do and maybe I don't. "

“So you have a secret connection with the higher ups then?”

He gave her a look.

“Maybe they can send us somewhere interesting?”

Smirking, Greta leaned forward and whispered, "You really are innocent aren’t you, Boss man."

He smiled back.

“Not so innocent I will have you know just was not sure it was going to be that kind of an evening.”

"Well, let's eat some cookies first and see where the evening takes us." She grinned and kissed him gently.

He smiled back.

“Yes that sounds like a good idea.”
