Day: 1
Stardate: 2446.01.03

(USS Exeter –Broken Bow – Rear section- COO LTjg Paul Sleeford 04:20)



“Okay get the diagnostic started. I am going to set a course for the Exeter.”

Paul nodded,” Understood”

Moving to the OPs terminal Paul began the slow task of searching the comms system code line by line. Humming quietly to himself, seeing Ire turn in his chair Paul tensed a little.

“I hope that we find what’s got into T’Kel. Something is very wrong with him.”

Paul considered what he knew, the other pair had left the cockpit and headed aft, there was weapons fire and one came back, with a tale of an attack. Not witnessing it first hand made it harder for Paul to sort out the truth.

“Who knows, with some Vulcans it could be the onset of the Pon Farr, in any case how long is sleeping beauty going to be out?”

“He should be unconscious until we can get back the Exeter.” 

Looking aft Paul nodded, the last thing he wanted  to deal with was a deranged Vulcan in a confined space.

Finishing the first run through the code Paul was no nearer an no answer, as far as he could tell the comms system should be working. Staring at the screen for a couple of seconds he pulled the last maintenance file and overlaid it with the current code. 

“Got you, you insidious little bugger. Our last comms from the Exeter carried a small, simple line of code, nothing major just enough to stop us sending out.”

Paul paused for a long while.

“That’s the thing, why, why go to all the trouble, they could have just disabled the system here, there was no reason to send out a virus.”
