Mission: Andromeda's Chain
Day: 1
Stardate: 2446.01.03
(USS Exeter – Astrometrics - CSO Lt Erin Cortez – 0435)
“Having your findings will be less of an advantage for them without control
of the ship. Their main goal is likely control of the ship first, all
things being equal Astrometrics would only be one of their minor goals,
they would likely already have control of the ship before cascading down to
the minor areas. Even with your findings it’s more likely they wish to
detain all the senior crew that aren’t part of them.”
Erin nodded, "I understand. I just can't believe that this is happening. I
mean, what could have caused this?"
“Please Erin, I need you to stay focused, we’re running out of time.” Keira
said while entering commands at a rapid pace. “I’ve masked our location.
Anyone will think we are coming from the secondary security office on deck
twenty.”
Looking at her friend, Erin nodded, a look of determination fixed on her
face, "What do you need me to do?"
“I need you to lock out the internal sensors, encrypt them with the highest
encryption that you have, so that when we leave via the Jefferies Tubes we
have a chance to get away with out them tracking us.” Keira said, “I’m
attempting to lock out the main computer and I’m likely to meet resistance
any moment.”
"That I can do. Thankfully, Lieutenant Hammersfield gave me good access to
the main computer just before she left here." Erin replied, typing fast on
the console infront of her.

“Someone in Main Engineering has noticed me….” Keira announced. ~That
didn’t take long.~
“Open up Commander. We can do this the easy way or the hard way!” Someone
yelled through the door. Banging could be heard coming from the entrance.
Erin glanced to the door and bit her lip, tapping the last few commands
into the computer, "There, I've locked out the internal sensors with an
algorithm similar to a borg encryption. Should take them a long time to
break that. "
“I’ve started the core encryption with a Romulan daisy chain algorithm.
Here’s a Mo’Kai Klingon worm to keep him busy.”
"How long do we have?"
(Reply Zot IYW)
“For complete encryption? Maybe ten minutes.” Keira said, “the longer the
encryption runs the harder it’s going to be to get it unlocked. Partial is
better than none. How’s it coming on your end?”
"I'm done. " She replied simply.
Keira could hear the hissing behind her as the two were attempting to cut
through the door. “Time’s almost up.”
"Then we should leave these guys a little surprise."
(Reply Merek)
"Don’t worry, nothing that will harm them. Just something to incapacitate
them for a bit." Erin winked.
(Reply Merek)
"As soon as the break through those doors, Astrometrics will be flooded
with a harmless but quite effective anesthetic gas."
(Reply Merek)
"Oh I can be sneaky when I need to be. Where do we head first? I assume
they will have taken any weapons lockers, security… engineering etc."
