Day: 1
Stardate: 2446.01.03
(USS Exeter – Engineering- construction pathways- NPC EO Ensign Ronald
Moxley – 0458)
Ensign Moxley's nerves were on edge as he led 2 security officers towards
an access point of the construction pathways.
" A Lot of the access points are under the floor or behind terminals, some
behind walls. There's nothing of use in any of them. Most people use them
for places to take quick breaks. " Ronald said as he popped open a panel
under a terminal screen.
" Through here " he said pointing down with his finger.
They entered the space and crawled for about 2 meters then were able to
stand up.
" These run all over the ship? " The security officer asked.
Ronald tilted his head.
" Mostly, but there is no telling how far the pathways go. It's pretty
dangerous in these parts. The platforms beneath our feet can give then we
fall 10 decks to our death. Or close to an operating system that gives off
lethal levels of radiation and we die a very painful death."
" Keep moving. Show us the furthest you have been. " The security officer
ordered while holding his phaser rifle.
Ensign Moxley nodded.
" This way, the furthest I have been is deck 5"
" Sounds pretty far to me"
" As a child I had a habit of exploring the woods near my house. My father
told me to not go past the creek, but being the curious minded child I was.
I always tested my limits. " Moxley rambled. Leading them to a side passage.
" There is a ladder here that will take us to deck 9. From there we have
about a 20 meter crawl through a tube to another corridor. It's rather thin
but another ladder will take us up to deck 5 ."
The security officer followed him into the side passage and stopped.
" What's all this stuff ? " One security officer asked as he looked around
at what appeared to be a large pile of engineering tools. Not noticing that
they were led to a dead end.
" Oh this stuff is left over stuff from the construction. " Moxley
responded
" That's odd you'd figu.." Before the security officer could finish his
words. Moxley hit him across the head with carrying case filled with
various tools, knocking him. Moxley sound wildly at the other security
officer but missed Moxley grabbed the security officer's hand that was his
phaser and headbutted him and prying the phaser from his hands he shot him,
stunning him.
Moxley stepped back and looked at the other who he hit across the head.
Moxley spotted he had restraint cuffs on his person so he cuffed the
security officer. He turned to the other officer that he shot and saw him
starting to rise. Moxley took the carrying case, hitting the officer in the
head once again knocking him down.
" How in the hell did he get up from a phaser shot that fast ?" Moxley
looked and spotted some optical wiring in the pile of stuff and used it to
tie both officers up. Once finished he removed both commbadges and threw
them over the railing, the sound of their descent echoed through the
pathways as they clashed against surfaces.
Moxley grabbed the phaser rifle from the floor and placed the strap over
his shoulder.
" Those bastards may have control over computer systems but they have no
idea that engineers are the wrong one to mess with. "
He said as he turned the stun settings to maximum stun. He ripped open a
wall panel and manually lowered a hatch door. Concealing both officers
behind it.
" Goodluck getting out. Gentlemen "
( reply Brightwood or Hammerfield if they heard the phaser shot or
commotion in the construction pathways)
