Mission: Lights, Camera….Action?

Day: 1

Stardate: 2446.01.01/2025.06.30

(Toronto, Canada - The Rex hotel Jazz and blues bar - Ensign Rayan
Anra/Misha Collins - 1705)

As the office workers strolled into the bar and ordered their drinks and
food, some but not all them paid attention to the tall man on the stage
with the trumpet in his hand. Many of them would recognise him but not know
why and that was okay with him. Some would be there to just listen to the
music, some to meet friends and wind down after a long day at work. Others
were there because they had become Jazz fans and fans of the band that he
played in.

Smiling to himself as he stepped forward to the microphone, he looked at
the other members of the band and nodded, “Good evening ladies and
gentlemen. We are pleased to welcome those of you that have not been here
before and welcome back those that have been here before and those that we
see every friday. Yes, I’m looking at you, Hal.” He smiled and waved at the
wizened old man sat off the edge of the bar.

“For those of you that don’t know us, the fine lady over there on the
double bass is Hannah Williams. The guy on drums is Mike Wazowski. On piano
is the beast, Mr James Sullivan. I’m Misha Collins and we are here to
provide you with some good old fashioned jazz and blues. Enjoy the music,
the company and maybe by our music. We are Fallen Flame.”

As he lifted his trumpet to his lips and drew breath, he felt a sense of
calm. Calm and happiness. Playing music was what gave him life but it was
not an easy life. So, he knew that, at some point, he would be forced to
reprise his role on USS Exeter but, for now, he was happy and life was
good.
