Mission: Lights, Camera…Action?

(Toronto, Canada, Parked outside Pinewood Studios – OPS Ensign JG Matthew
Fuller/Martin Franklin – 0925)

Matthew sat back against the backseat of the car with a deep sigh, he had
enjoyed the food that they had just eaten and they were now outside a place
called Pinewood Studios where apparently he, or the person he apparently
was, were meant to be.

Throughout the trip he had been constantly looking in the mirror at his
reflection, the person looked like him but at the same time it was as if he
wasn’t really there.

“Hey Martin, snap out of it. We’re here!” He was jolted back to the present
by a voice from the front seat of the vehicle they were in. He called
himself Andy and was apparently Martin’s agent getting him parts in
television shows.

Matthew looked out the window at the building before him. It was huge with
lots of people walking around in various clothing. Amongst the crowd he
could see various colours that looked like Starfleet uniforms. He got out
of the car and was starting to walk towards a couple of these when Andy
grabbed his arm.

“Woah there, hold on just a moment. Don’t go wandering off just yet”. Andy
guided him towards a small building where a man in a uniform of some kind
stood checking what seemed to be cards on people’s clothing. The guard
apparently looked up as they approached, “Good morning Mr Franklin, here’s
your I.D. for while you’re here. Enjoy your stay”. He handed over a card
with a photo of the Martin person.

Matthew then followed Andy to another building which had Exeter written on
it. He tensed as he approached the doors, would he see the ship and other
crew waiting. The door opened and his shoulders slumped, all there was, was
a large hanger with the inside of a ship supposed to be the Exeter by the
looks of it and no sign of any Starfleet personnel.

What was going on???
