(USS Exeter - Deck seven - Counselors suite - COO LTjg Paul Sleeford 14:17)

Placing the glass on the table Sleeford looked across the desk, "If
there's nothing else? I'm sure there's far more interesting cases then me."

"Well I can neither confirm or deny if there are cases that are more
interesting then you or not." Jack said with a laugh.

Laughing Sleeford stood, "I'd have been surprised if you had of "

"Actually Paul there is something that you said piqued my interest."

Pausing Sleeford raised his eyebrows, "And that was?"

"Your cane. It's my understanding that your synthetic leg is the one that
was originally hurt in the first place. Though I might be mistaken. But if
that is the case, do you still need the cane?"

Sleeford stood there and shook his head, "Not really, it sits in my
bedroom, in the corner, I keep it because it was the last thing my
grandfather made for me. After my accident he took a branch from the old
tree in the yard and carved the cane. It serves as a reminder of the old
boy. You'd have liked him, he could tie people in knots and boy could he be
sarcastic "

Nodding to the counsellor, Sleeeford left the office, before he had a
chance to think of other things to question him over .
