(USS Exeter –Bridge – CONN – CFO – Lieutenant –Ire Williams– 2247)

 

He had gotten back to the bridge began a routine diagnostic of theflight systems when the red alert klaxon screamed bathing the bridge in apulsing red light.

 

~Ow hell~

 

He quickly cancelled the diagnostic and with his fingers moving fast acrossthe console. 

 

~Engines~

 

He accessed the impulse engines and brough them up to fully operationalstatus as well as checking that their back up reactors were moved to hotstandby.

 

~Slipstream~

 

The quantum slipstream drive to brought from cold standby to activation ready.

 

~The emergency stop button is ready~

 

He also illuminated the warp engines emergency cut off icon on his consolewhich would drop them out of warp at rapidly. 

 

~Okay that’s done how’s Isra doing~

 

He looked at the update from shuttle bay one and two. As he scanned the information,he was pleased to see that the alert shuttles for shuttle bay one and two wereat 30 seconds launch status. His paused for a moment brining up the two flightcrews that were on alert shuttle duty. 

 

~Good a nice mix of green and experienced on each one~

 

“Status Helm.”

 

Ire looked over at the officer of the watch.

 

“Helm is answering, no change to course. Warp drive is functioning, and slipstreamdrive is ready to go. Alert shuttles in shuttle bay one and two are on 30 secondnotice to launch.”

 

“Understood helm.”

 

~These things are all fine if we have an external problem. But there isnothing I can do if the danger is already on board~
