(USS Exeter – Science Labs – 2O/CEO – Lt. Cmdr. Keira Merek – 2010)

Keira wasted no time leaving the briefing once she was dismissed. She checked on the “subspace sonar”, and the door leading to the lab that it occupied, and was pleased to see both were untampered with, as far as she could determine. Her next priority was to clear her friend’s name the best she could.

“Merek to Cortez.” Keira said slapping her combadge.

“Erin I know it’s late, but I’d like you to join me in the Acoustics lab as soon as you can. I need your help.” Keira said. She had called Erin first to ensure she was ruled out as a person of interest before conducting any tests or analysis. If she was Erin, then they’d have time to catch up before Sleeford got there. If she wasn’t, Keira would only have to stall long enough for her back up to arrive.

“Sounds good, see you then. Merek out.” She said closing the channel, only to open a new one. “Merek to Sleeford.”

“Ensign, I know it’s late but, I’m going to need your assistance in the  Science labs, say 30 minutes?”

“Sounds good, see you then. Merek Out.” Keira said before closing the second channel.
