"Wasn't you. You weren't driving the bus so to speak."



Trinity sighed. Trip always had had a way of pointing out the obvious.
“Yeah I know, and I know that I could no more kill in cold blood than I
could…” Trinity ran out of words. “...than I could I don’t know what, but I
still remember my hands doing it. It’s stupid I know.”



"I mean, I can't, I can't speak to that feeling. I wasn't under her thrall.
I don't know what it was like. But I do know who you are, and I trust that
person."



“That’s good to hear. Always did value your trust. It was you that signed
off my final fast jet clearance after all. Just seems that I’m getting
nowhere fast.”



"Remember, two steps forward and one step back is still one step forward."



At that moment, a Valyrie V tore down the launch strip, and wobbled
slightly as it transitioned from lateral thrust to normal flight. Trinity
shook her head in irritation. “I kind of miss it here. Not going to lie.
That said, I wouldn’t change anything.”

“I miss the S&R wing I built, I miss flying into something utterly unknown
with only a medium size adapted fighter and my own skill against the worst
that madame nature can throw against me. But, I’ve become happy on the
|Exeter. Feels like I don’t know what to do anymore.”
