(Exeter –Bridge – CFO – Lieutenant– Ire Williams –1206)

Ire walked onto the bridge. Hiseyes drifted to the helm console which is did when he entered the bridge. It stillseemed too big compared to his Lucky Thirteen. She was a tough little fighter,it had to be surviving his flying and his unfortunate number of ‘hard’landings. After his chat with Tyrek last night, he would like to get a few moreCharon’s on board.

~A question for another time~

He had thinking about the reasonhe was now on the bridge all morning and had been chatting to Sonnolo Cainrobhhis old flight officer and now the squadron commanding officer of the VoidHaunter squadron when the idea had popped into his mind. He had asked heroptioned unofficially as he did not want to get her into trouble due to him notgoing through the proper channels. She had liked the idea but would not proceedwithout permission. It had been nice to talk to Sonnolo and had done so acouple of time since the Exeter had returned to earth. He had an open invitationof going up for a flight but unfortunately for him he had not had the opportunityto get back into a fighter and go screaming across the stars. 




He looked over at thecommand chair and saw that Trip was there.

~No time like the present~

He stepped over to the commandchair and spoke low so that only Trip could hear.

“Sorry to bother you Captain.I have a request that I would like to talk to you about if you have the time?”
