Ash walked briskly toward the door as best she could as she saw Kiera
coming up toward the main house. Greeting her with a warm welcoming smile
she held the door open.



“Kiera, It’s lovely to see you.” She didn’t exactly know the Second Officer
quite well enough to assume a cheek kiss in friendship was acceptable so
she gently placed her arm around the other girls shoulders as she welcomed
her into the house.

“Thank you for coming sweetie. I’m so glad you were able to make it.” She
beamed gently, then saw Venus sniffing around her feet, and crouched down
to give the dog a scratch behind the ears in the place that she knew Layla
loved. “And a very warm welcome to you too beautiful girl.” She lifted
herself back up and poke gently motioning for Kiera to go on through.

“Layla is around somewhere so no doubt these two will cause chaos running
around. The back yard is totally dog and childproof. Please don’t stand on
ceremony, go on through to the back, grab a drink.”
