Mission: A new day dawns
Day: 1
Stardate: 2446.01.28

(USS Exeter - Ready Room - 2O/CEO, Lt. Cmdr. Keira Merek - 1414)

"As one of mixed species myself, I'd say so."

"You really think so?" Keira asked skeptically.

"I mean, we will always be children of two worlds and unfortunately there
will always be one side that seems to win out. I will always feel more
human, my sister will always feel more Betazoid, you may always feel more
Romulan. But it is important to know the history, culture, and ways of both
sides, even the non dominant one. Because no matter what, Keira, it's a
part of who you are."

"Some camping, hunting or fishing from my own food, look at the Aurora
Borealis, clear my head. Might be just what I need." Keira admitted.

(Reply Trip)

" It *is *winter in the Northern Hemisphere. Móður always said the northern
lights were best when it was coldest. That should be a sight. I can bring
Venus, she's been cooped up for too long as well."

(Reply Trip)

"If you don't mind.." Keira said. "I do have some packing to do. Thanks for
being a sound board. Tell the Mrs. I said "hi".." Keira stood up.

"There will always be those who mean to do us harm. To stop them, we risk
awakening the same evil within ourselves. Our first instinct is to seek
revenge when those we love are taken from us, but that's not who we are." -
Captain James T. Kirk
