(USS Exeter - Ready Room - CO, Captain Trip Williams - 1411)

"Kind of you to offer, but that would be too much like giving up." Keira
said. "Besides, it's nothing the bio scrubbers can't handle, I'll have it
run two cycles. I was thinking of taking a sojourn down to Earth, see my
mother's homeland, have you ever been to Iceland?"

"Actually I have." Trip replied remembering a Spring Break trip there
during his time at the Academy. From what he could remember, he was very
popular with the local girls. Thor they all called him. Thor, god of
thunder and wielder of the mighty mjolnir. They were fond memories.

"I myself never got the chance, left for Mars so quickly after getting
orders. During the academy I was always too busy. Maybe now is a good
chance to connect to my human heritage?"

"As one of mixed species myself, I'd say so."

will always be one side that seems to to win out. I will always feel more
human, my sister will always feel more Betazoid, you may always feel more
Romulan. But it is important to know the history, culture, and ways of both
sides, even the non dominant one. Because no matter what, Keira, it's a
part of who you are."
