(USS Exeter - Ready Room –CO, Captain Trip Williams - 1524)
“Are there any plans to go after him?”
"Not really. He's on his own, and he's gonna go underground. He's more
dangerous if we chase him then if we just let him be. People know he is a
wanted fugitive. But given his knowledge and connections, honestly its a
waste of resources to do a man hunt for one guy across who knows which
quadrant. I let him go when we could have had him shot down. Why? because
frankly the only way to save him his for him to hit rock bottom and for him
to know he needs to save himself. To know he needs help."
“I want to be there when he’s apprehended? I want to look him in the eye
when we find out why.”
"Sorry bud, but that wont happen. Not unless you become a bounty hunter.
There is an official bounty on his head, quite a few bars of gold pressed
latinum. But Starfleet, like I said, they aint chasing him. I asked them
not to. Pleaded my case. At this point, he'll probably get himself killed.
But he needs to go further down the rabbit hole if we want him to come out
the other side."
