Mission: A new day dawns
Day: 1
Stardate: 2446.01.28

(USS Exeter -Officer's Mess– ACEO, Lt. JG Alistair Brightwood   - 2030)

Alistair was exhausted. It had been a long day. He was on the team
supervising the refit of the Captain's suite and it was a bit of a bear. He
had the next day off, so that meant he actually worked about 8 hours
overseeing and helping the work. The remodel was such that they were
combining a few quarters together with that of the Captains to make it
larger and more family friendly. First they had removed the doors that
opened to anywhere but the center of the quarters space. Thus making only
one access point. The original idea would have made it two stories, but
given safety concerns it became a single floor plan. The Captain's original
quarters would remain the same and would have the entryway. The wall to the
adjacent quarter would then be given a door. The second quarter would
change to having the office and the bedroom become two bedrooms, one would
be for Ronnie, the other was set up as a nursery. The two were connected to
and shared the bathroom. The living space in the second quarters would
become a sort of play room. Most of the difficulty involved the plumbing
and adding doors.

~In the future I hope somebody makes some kind of programmable matter,
would make my life easier.~

Alistair approached the replicator and grabbed some fish and chips and a
cold brew and walked to find a seat. There was only one officer in the mess
at the time so Alistair joined him.

"Evening." Alistair said his posh Oxford accent, very professor like in
nature, sounded almost melodic in the empty space.

"I don't think I recognize you," Alistair looked at the man's rank pip and
didn't really recognize it, "Are you on the staff from Starfleet overseeing
the refit?"
