Mission: A new day dawns

(USS Exeter - Officer's Mess – SO, Christopher West   -  1200)

As Chris entered the officer's mess, it was practically bare. Most of the
crew were off the ship taking advantage of leave. Chris was headed that way
but he had come up to check on some of the experiments going on in the Bio
lab, making sure they were within parameters. His shift was over and a new
officer had gone to do the monitoring. That meant he was off for the next
72 hours and he was planning on going to a secluded cabin in the Colorado
Rockies. He had been headed to the transporter room when his stomach
grumbled and decided to get a bite to eat before leaving.

As he looked around for a place to sit he noticed one officer eating alone
and decided to join him.

Sitting down he smiled, "No one should sit alone."

"Not sure we've met, I mean I know there are only 500 of us and the ship
isn't massive, but that's still a big number."

"Chris West, pleased to meet ya." Chris extended his hand, "And you are?"
