(USS Exeter –Nine to Dine – Nurse – CPO – Ewan McDonald - 2106)

 

Ewan lookedover at Yukie who was sitting across the table from him. They had been off dutyfor a while now and had not stopped drinking. They had been trying differenttypes of whisky as well as some strange alcoholic green drink which was quitegood once you got past the color.

 

“….and therehe was totally butt naked in front of the boss.”

 

“Ow my howdid she react?”

 

“She was coolas can be and told him that he was out of uniform and that he should get backinto one fast.”

 

“That waslucky I am sure fleet admirals are now know for there sense of humor.”

 

She giggledas she took another sip of whisky and then paused.

 

“So I lookedup the rime that your organization stands for you do know that they killed the albatross?”

 

“Yes I do butits about…”



“No stop,stop. I am too drunk to philosophical discussion about dead animals in rimes.”



Ewan grinned.

 

“It’s notlike Starfleet does not have their own strange customs.”



“That istrue. To strange customs.”

 

They chinked theirglasses and drank. He saw her put the glass slightly unsteadily on the table. Shethen put her hand up to her face and moved it around as she gave a log sigh.

 

“That`s medone for the night. Thanks, you for keeping me company and competition wasclose.”

 

“It was not arace Yukie.”

 

“It was and we totally need a rematch. Are you heading back?”

“No I think I will stay for a little bit longer.”

“Okay don`t stay up too late it’s a school night.”

“Yes mum.”

He smiled and gave a wave as Yukie headed out the door. He was sure thathe would be seeing her in the morning like a bear with a bad head. He had beenlucky if she had not had a head start on him it would have been a lot closerand he might have been then one heading home.

He leaned back picked up the whisky and sipped it slowly as he lookedout of the view port.
