USS Exeter – Sickbay – aCTO/COO Lieutenant  jg Ravok – 1322)




Ravok felt a warm feeling rush over his body and was instantly roused into
consciousness.  He looked around the room and was able to see with both
eyes.


" Well that wasn't that bad was it?" Dr. Lewis asked.


" No how long was I out?" Ravok questioned. It felt like he had been
sleeping for hours.


" About an hour." Lewis replied, as he scanned him.


" No way." Ravok said in disbelief.


The doctor laughed. " It's a rather simple procedure and it goes a lot
faster when the patient doesn't request to have bionic vision or something
outrageous like that. Your eye was already dead and deprived of oxygen rich
blood. It came right out. I cleaned the socket and repaired the optic nerve
with the nurse calibrating the ocular implant at the same time and presto ,
you can see again. Here take a look " he said , handing Ravok a mirror. He
took the mirror and looked at it. " It doesn't match my other eye, its
white. "


" Well this is the starter model you can upgrade and get a color more
suited to your natural color once we determine that this ocular implant
works for you…its standard procedure. After a few weeks I can make the
adjustments you want." Replied Lewis.


Ravok laid the mirror down on his chest.

 " No offense but if it works I don't want anyone messing with it.  I can
see that's all that matters. Hell it even feels like my real eye. "


" That's a good sign. Now if it starts to become irritating let me know and
I can prescribe you a solution you take twice daily for 5 days . If
irritation continues we will try another type of ocular implant, but this
is a good model. You should be fine. As much as I love patients,  I'm not a
fan of return customers. I prefer to treat you and become just another face
in the gag reel of your life. Here watch this training exercise and break
in the new eye. "  Lewis said, setting

“I’m here for Lieutenant Ravok,are you accepting any visitors at this time?”

Doctor Lewis heard from behind him in the larger medical area. He turned
around and walked out the door and stopped the nurse who was about to
answer the blonde haired Lieutenant.

" Lieutenant Senior grade Keira Merek?" He asked her

(Reply merek)

" I'm asking because he has two names on his medical records contact list,
one Lieutenant Erin Cortez and you. Come on Lieutenant." Doctor Lewis
stepped back and gestured with his hand toward the door.

(Reply Merek)

Doctor Lewis Stepped away to give them privacy.

Ravok looked at Keira as she entered the room. " Well aren't you a sight
for sore eyes ?" He remarked with a smile.

( reply Merek)

" I'm good, just a little sore. I've been sore before ." Ravok said. The
wall monitor above him reading his vitals started to register his increased
heart rate.

" Come here" He said motioning to her to come sit on the bed with him.
Noticing the look in her eyes that she was holding her emotions back to the
best of her ability.

" Don't cry " he said with a smile and grabbed her hand and squeezed it. "
I didn't get my vision restored to see that, I'd rather be blind than to
see you cry e'lev"

" I'm fine, sweetheart. Your fine that's all that trupt matters to me. " He
said, gently rubbing the side of her face.
