“Despite the current rumours on board the ship, i had nothing to do with the death of Commander Nix.”
“I didn’t mean any disrespect by it and I don’t really follow the rumour mill too closely. Just helps put my mind at ease knowing how you answered it to me,” Janice replied to try and explain why she asked. Her gut told her she could be trusted. It was wrong on occasion but she ran with it.
“Look, the best thing to do would be to talk with Lieutenant Ravok. At present, i have been questioned in regards to the incident. It may be better for him to make the decision on what course of action is best to take.”
"Understood – I can take that up to him if you would like?” she offered.
“I can only suggest what i would do in his shoes. However, due to my current predicament, any course of action i suggest maybe seen as a potential attempt to conceal evidence and divert the investigation in a direction that would lead it away from where it should be focused.”
"Conflict of interests – I understand,” she nodded.
Erin tapped a few buttons on her console and handed a PADD to the ensign, “Here is a list of what was taken. Lieutenant Ravok will more than likely have the same list so speak with him about the best course to take. This may be something connected although it could be an attempted diversion from the real course of action that they are taking.”
Taking the PADD in one hand she slid it into her back pocket as she stood up, “Ill get this over post haste.”
Erin nodded, “Thank you for your time, Ensign. You have quite the brain on you. Keep it up and i see good things for you in your career.”
"Thank you,” she turn to the door and before leaving stopped and looked back in, “If it means anything – im sorry for the position your in. I don’t think you had anything to do with this,”

With a small nod she left letting the door close behind her.

Janice leaned against the bulkhead, she was waiting by security for a few minutes as someone said the lieutenant would be back shortly and looking into the distance she spotted him. Removing her slouch she moved over, “Excuse me – Sorry to disturb you sir. I was asked by Lieutenant Cortez to bring this down to you.” She pulled the PADD out from her pocket and held it outward.
(reply Ravok)
“We have a couple theories what the substances could be used for. We were looking for a decision on what to run with for now,” she added in.
(reply Ravok, any)
