SBFREEDOM-RPG: HADESRPG: (1 - 1500) V.Adm. T'Larah Sullivan & Hades FO - Cmdr. Ire Williams
From: docholladay2021 at gmail.com (Todd Holladay)
Date: Mon, 8 Sep 2025 08:40:33 -0500
Mission: Sequester
Day: 1
Stardate: 2446.09.03
(Starbase Freedom - Level 2 - Conference Room - Chief Internal Affairs -
V.Adm. T’Larah Sullivan & Hades FO - Cmdr. Ire Williams - 1500)
The Admiral was going over the previous debriefing from the Second Officer.
She had questioned Betazoids before, none as skilled at reading people. She
was confident they both came away with something.
Ire paused for a moment before stepping into the room. He remembered what
an old friend had once told him about internal affairs was that they were
out to cover the fleet, not the officer. His friend had, had a few run in
with internal affairs.
~Just because you are paranoid. Dose not mean that they are not out to get
you~
He took a breath, calmed his mind and controlled his expression before
entering the conference room.
“Commander, I am pleased you took the time to join me.” the Admiral said.
“Refreshments?”
~A request from an Admiral are orders with a smile~
“Yes sir, thank you.”
He moved over to a small table with drinks and nibbles
“Can I get you anything sir?”
“Mint tea, hot.” the Admiral specified. “Thank you.”
Ire nodded and made the order. As it materialised he picked it up and
brought it over and took a seat that was offered.
“As the Human adage goes, let’s get down to brass tacks, Commander.” the
Admiral started. She moved the tea cup and saucer closer and rotated the
handle to the right side. Her hands surrounded the saucer warming her
hands. “I am obligated to inform you, I will be recording this debriefing.
It will not be admissible as evidence it is purely for administrative
reasons and for IA’s records.”
~You beleave that you beleave anything~
Ire sipped his drink before answering.
“Yes sir understood.”
“You, your ship and crew recently embarked on a mission, responding to a
distress call from Research outpost forty seven. Can you give me a brief
run down on that for me?” the Vulcan woman inquired, her face a mask of
stone.
“Yes sir.”
He paused for a moment before starting to speak.
“The Hades left space dock on Stardate: 2446.07.29 at 1150 and arrived on
Stardate: 2446.07.31 after a high-speed warp run.”
“As I am sure that you know the outpost is in a Mutara class nebula which
effects the transporters. So it was decided to deployed the Hades small
craft to facilitate the evacuation of the research out post rather then
endanger the ship itself.”
“Three shuttles and the runabout along with the Marine’s dropship. Split
between medical, specimen containment and personal rescue.”
“Whatever had happened to the outpost had been I saw parts of the exterior
hull had melted at the edges of a large damaged are and I could see exposed
struts and structural girding. The outpost was lucky to be in one peace.”
“I docked the runabout at the command deck docking port and went to the
command centre with Lieutenant Velrek. On arrival I was introduced to
Lieutenant Commander Gutierrez who was in charge of the outpost at that
time.”
“Soon after our arrival the outpost sensors picked up a wave that was
heading towards the outpost. Due to the condition that the outpost was
Commander Gutierrez not conversed about what condition of the outpost would
be after it was hit.”
“The marine drop ship was used to evacuate most of the outposts personal.
The runabout and the medical shuttles took the most injured and then
specimens that could be moved were transferred to the shuttles.”
“Commander Gutierrez with a number of his command staff decided to stay on
the outpost to ride out the wave. Along with Lieutenant Dogan who stayed to
support Ensign Csontalan.”
“The wounded and evacuated personnel were taken back to the Hades and
transferred over before I returned to the outpost. Lieutenant Dogan explain
that they were heading for the command centre, so I docked at the outpost
and made my way there.”
“While discussing the options with Commander Gutierrez. Major Masters had
arrived with the marine dropship and between the both of us we were able to
evacuate the remaining survivors of the outpost.”
“Efficient, concise.” T’Larah commented. “It’s appreciated. Let’s skip
ahead a bit.”
“Yes sir.”
“Why don’t you start around fourteen hundred. There is a large gap in the
log.” T’Larah explained. “As if someone just scooped the data out.” T’Larah
left a pause and took her first sip of the tea. “Would you happen to know
what happened to the missing data?”
Ire paused for a moment.
~The Admiral will find out sooner or later~
“We found the Omega particle on board the outpost in a shielded
compartment. Once we confirmed what we were dealing with, we followed
protocol. We destroyed the outpost with our phasers and gravemetric
torpedoes. We wiped all data from our systems and small craft which is why
there is a gap in our logs.”
“Since you're being so honest and forthright, was there a particular reason
why you didn't follow all the protocol and call the clean up team to deal
with the Omega particles?” the Admiral asked sipping her tea. She had
thought the Second Officer had an interesting point of view, it was time to
see if the Executive Officer had anything new to add.
“Sir the outpost had taken a pounding. The outpost was basically a floating
hulk and would not take long before it came apart. If the containment on
the Omega particle was breached then we would have been in a worse
situation. There was not enough time to get a proper team out there let
alone getting something set up to keep it adequately contained. The risk of
the particle going critical and destroying all subspace and anything else
within several light years.”
She let that moment hang while she thought. ~The second officer’s statement
certainly agrees with this.~
.
“Sir any research on the omega particle has been banned by starfleet. What
were they doing with something so dangerous and devastating on the outpost
anyway?”
“I do not know.” That admission almost pained her to utter. “It wasn't
sanctioned, on the record those parts didn't even exist.”
“Yes sir, some one went to a lot of effort to keep it secret.”
“It certainly is in need of a separate investigation.”
Ire nodded. “I guess that would be something to look into sir.”
“I think it's time I spoke with your Captain.” T’Larah said, unless you
have anything pertinent to add?”
Ire nodded.
“No sir I do not.”
“Then dismissed, Commander,” she said.

SBFREEDOM-RPG: HADESRPG: (1 - 1600) V.Adm. T'Larah Sullivan & Hades CSEC/30 - Lt. Cal Dogan
From: docholladay2021 at gmail.com (Todd Holladay)
Date: Tue, 16 Sep 2025 22:44:55 -0500
Mission: Sequester
Day: 1
Stardate: 2446.09.03
(Starbase Freedom - Level 2 - Conference Room - Chief Internal Affairs -
V.Adm. T’Larah Sullivan & Hades CSEC/3O - Lt. Cal Dogan - 1600)
T’Larah’s thoughts were awash with the preceding debriefings of the Hades
Command Officers. The Admiral was unaware until that time that Hades had a
fourth member of the Command Team, apparently Merek had named a Third
Officer which had just updated in the LCARS. Armed with that knowledge she
still felt something was missing from the accounts she was able to obtain,
a different perspective. Jayc was a scientist. Williams had been on the
command track most of his career as all pilots usually were. It was missing
the tactical aspect. She reached out to the Hades Chief of Security and
Tactical. A position she had once held on a few ships before assuming the
command track herself. That was decades ago.
The door chimed and opened revealing one of the largest beings T’Larah had
ever seen.
Cal Dogan stood blocking all light from the doorway. He had known that the
Vice Admiral of Internal Affairs had already been questioning members of
the senior staff, and he had been expecting the call to meet with her.
“Admiral Sullivan,” he said with a nod that looked more like a bow.
“Thank you for agreeing to see me, Lieutenant.” She paused seemingly in
thought but quickly recovered. “Please sit or stand as you are comfortable.
Refreshments?”
Cal entered the room and waited for the door to close before he moved over
to the seating area. He looked at the chairs and realized that even if he
had been inclined to take a seat he knew that those chairs would not
support him long. Besides, sitting in the presence of a such a high level
officer would be the ultimate insult to her sensibilities, and that was not
his intention. So he stood with his hands behind his back.
“No,” he said simply, then remembered his manners, “thank you.” He waited
patiently as the Vice Admiral situated herself.
The Admiral sat down on a chair on the opposite side of the conference room
table from the door the Brikar officer just entered.
“Let us begin with your last mission.” She started. “Can you tell me in
your own words, what happened?”
“That is a broad question, Vice Admiral,” he said flatly. “A great deal
happened. Is there something more specific you are looking to address?”
“Down to brass tacks?” She asked rhetorically. “Specifically the erased
section of the ship’s log and the events leading up to it.”
Dogan nodded, “Ah, that. Yes. The data was erased due to a protocol that
I am not permitted to discuss. As for the events around it, as you must be
aware, we were sent to rescue the survivor of the science starbase 47. We
arrived to find the base had drifted into the nebula that it had been
positioned by. The base was on the verge of self destruction, but we
determined that we had time to rescue the surviving personnel.”
He paused for a moment and caught a look from the Vice Admiral that implied
he should continue. “I would like to report at this time that some of the
research that was being conducted on this station was not, in any sense,
legal. There were living samples of extremely dangerous life forms that
were not adequately contained, and elements of illegal research into
bioweapons. I was unable to find who was responsible for allowing such
activities to occur as they all, apparently, died during the explosion on
the station.”
“I should also mention that the station was being monitored by a craft that
had rather dubious intentions. The craft had very effective dampening
fields that made it impossible to scan. However, I was able to take energy
signature scans as it fled after realizing that it had been discovered. I
can only imagine that they were behind some of the station's illicit
activities.”
The Admiral reacted ever so slightly to the mention of a ship, in a you’d
miss it if you blinked sort of way. “I assure you Lieutenant I will take
all of these allegations seriously,” the Vulcan stated. “The original
mission? How did the Hades fare?”
“As I said,” Cal continued, “the rescue was successful, but the station had
fallen too far into the Nebula to be retrieved and certain… experiments led
us to the conclusion that an uncontrolled explosion could be devastating to
the sector, so it was decided to destroy the station before that could
occur.”
He stopped there and took a breath, hoping there was nothing more to say.
“So just to reiterate. I have a station that was in an advanced state of
destruction on arrival?”
“Correct,” the Brikarian affirmed.
“What was the cause of this unfortunate circumstance?” She steered the
dialog.
Cal was stunned. He was certain she was aware of the answer but he
answered. “There had been an explosion on board.”
“Once there you discovered several experiments that you believe were not
inside Federation doctrine, and you destroyed those?”
“Most were destroyed in the detructikn of the station, but we had managed
to bring back a live sample and the station's database.”
“And the destruction of the station has something to do with something
you’re not supposed to talk about?”
“No ma’am, not allowed to discuss,” he clarified.
“Would it involve a letter in the Greek alphabet?”
“To confirm or deny that might be construed as saying too much, ma’am,” he
replied flatly.
“There was a ship that showed up right around the time you found this Greek
letter that you’re not supposed to talk about…”
“I can confirm the existence of said ship,” he replied. “I can also confirm
its existence precluded the detection of anything anomalous about the
station, but was not key to the decision to destroy the station.”
“I believe I’m getting the picture.” Sullivan stated.
“Excellent,” Cal said. “If I may, Vice-Admiral, the destruction of the base
was necessary. Even with missing data from our sensors would there be a
reason to doubt the decision made by the Captain or the command staff?
Captain Merek has proved herself to be an exemplary commanding officer. “
“I can’t comment on this or any other ongoing investigation.” T’Larah said
politely but firmly.
Dogan looked at the Admiral with a nod. “I understand your position. As I
hope that you can appreciate mine.”
“If you have nothing to add?” the Admiral asked.
“Under these circumstances, I do not,” Cal said.
“Then you are dismissed. Thank you for your time, Lieutenant.” The Admiral
was finished.
Cal stood full erect and the deck plating clunked under his weight. He
turned and walked to the door stopping just short of the sensor to open
it. He turned and said, “Vice Admiral, perhaps it would benefit the
Federation if certain sets of rules were to be changed with regards to
discussing certain matters. It might have made this conversation… easier.
Just a suggestion.”
With that he turned and tripped the sensor. The door opened and exited the
room, leaving his words hanging in the chamber.

SBFREEDOM-RPG: HADESRPG: (1 - 1800) Hades CO, Captain Keira Merek
From: docholladay2021 at gmail.com (Todd Holladay)
Date: Mon, 8 Sep 2025 22:35:20 -0500
Mission: Sequester
Day: 1
Stardate: 2446.09.03
(Starbase Freedom - Level 13, Gymnasium 2 - Hades CO, Captain Keira Merek -
1800)
Keira decided to check out the station's gymnasium. She showed up in a
light colored three quarter length bottom tights and a matching tank top
and sports bra, towel draped around her neck across her shoulders, As she
walked through the double doors that parted in the middle with a barely
audible *whoosh, *she drank in the surroundings. The room itself was large.
Larger than any space she'd be able to set aside on the Hades where, though
it was large for an escort, it was mid-range for a cruiser and such space
was at a premium. Here on the station they had the luxury of volume to
spare. She saw a smattering of people going about their exercise routine.
Some resistance machines, gravimetric free weights, some cardio machines,
bikes and treadmills. The machines dominated one half of the space, a
separate part seemed to be an elevated platform for gymnastics tumbling,
maybe for anbo-jyutsu or other direct competition sport. The whole thing
was surrounded by a dedicated track for those that wanted to run on a
surface. Along the walls were built into the supports, outside the radius
of the track were stand alone holographic training stations, which could
produce things like training dummies, or training bags of heavy and speed
varieties. In between each was a bench. No one took notice of Keira as she
walked in. She placed her towel down on one of the empty benches and
started her warm up. A few minutes and she finished her warm up with a
couple laps around the room.
Properly loosened up, she stood in front of the holo-trainer nearest her
towel. "Computer, hanging heavy bag, one and one half meters, one half
meter off the ground, weight ninety kilos."
In an instant a solid looking bag of the requested dimensions and weight
resistance appeared. What would normally be hanging by a chain was hanging
in midair with no apparent support. It was unnerving at first, but Keira
knew it was suspended that way because it was a hologram of hard light. She
didn't have her hands wrapped, so fists were not advised, palm strikes were
fine, she was mostly going to practice kicks.
She circled it a bit getting her angle and eyeballing the distance before
testing the bag with a light forward palm. The bag moved a bit, she
followed up with a right crescent kick which violently shook the bag. She
steadied it then grabbed ahold with her hands and slammed a series of three
knees into what would be a Human's liver or a Vulcan's heart.
The din of the gymnasium was quiet in an instant. Keira stopped her workout
when she figured it wasn't because of her. Everyone's eyes were on the
door, so Keira followed their gazes to see who could only be Admiral
Sullivan walking in. She wore her hair tied up perfectly. She wore a black
Vulcan gi with white Vulcan script down the outside edge of the top.
The novelty had worn off and everyone resumed their workout. The Admiral
apparently went to begin hers. Keira tried to return to hers but before she
could get her rhythm back she felt a tap on her shoulder. She turned and it
was the Admiral.
"Captain Merek." she said simply. "I tried calling your name, but you
didn't respond. You must have been concentrating on your workout."
"Yeah, that must have been it." The Captain replied. "What can I do for you
Admiral."
"You seem to be the only other person working on combat sports, I was going
to offer you to spar." The Admiral suggested. That silence that followed
the Admiral's entrance had returned accompanied with hushed murmurs and
whispers.
"Any particular *sport, *Admiral?" Keira said cautiously.
"Free style is acceptable." the Admiral answered.
Keira motioned to the open sparring ring, "After you, sir."
T'Larah spoke as she walked. "You seem a competent fighter, I saw some of
your strikes were similar to Kareel-Ifla a Vulcan martial art."
"Vulcan martial art?" Keira said clearly amused at the thought. "I thought
Vulcans were pacifists."
"Many are. Some like myself serve to combat violence." The Vulcan woman
stated.
Keira took her place on one side of the mat while the Admiral took her
place on the other. She noted that she was around a tenth of a meter taller.
Both of them could hear the whispers in the crowd. Workouts had stopped and
the athletes had gathered into a spectating crowd.
"Anything I need to know?" The blonde Captain asked.
"No holds barred." the Vulcan said. "we're just sparring though so about
fifty to seventy-five percent, we're not trying to hurt each other after
all."
Keira nodded as she dropped into a ready stance. The Admiral just stood
there with her hands at her sides. "When ever you're ready."

SBFREEDOM-RPG: HADESRPG: (1 - 1815) Hades CO, Captain Keira Merek & Chief IA - V. Adm. T'Larah Sullivan
From: docholladay2021 at gmail.com (Todd Holladay)
Date: Sat, 20 Sep 2025 21:35:59 -0500
Mission: Sequester
Day: 1
Stardate: 2446.09.03
(Starbase Freedom - Level 13, Gymnasium 2 - Hades CO, Captain Keira Merek &
V.Adm. T'Larah Sullivan - 1815)
The taller blonde woman circled around the Admiral's left, then doubled
back past center and to the right, searching for an opening. The Vulcan
merely shifted her body angle based off of where the Romulan woman was at
that moment.
~She's toying with me.~ Keira thought and attempted to break the stalemate
by throwing a right snap kick. The shorter woman merely tilted out of the
way avoiding the point of impact. Not giving up her aggressive stance the
Captain fired another kick aimed at the Admiral's right knee. It was
defused, as expected the Admiral lifted her right leg absorbing the impact
with thigh and shin spreading it over a wider area. Keira pushed off this
impact and went low to the ground and attempted a leg sweep maneuver which
the Vulcan avoided with a backbend and tumble backwards. By the time the
sweep was supposed to land, the Admiral was no longer there.
Keira gritted her teeth, spun and reapplied her attacking posture. She
closed the distance in an instant and threw a left kick. To her surprise
the Vulcan stepped closer and inside avoiding the blow and grabbed the
Romulan's left leg, simultaneously jabbed her middle two fingers into the
inside of her thigh. She spun around and down, dumping both on the mat.
Keira moved to separate, feeling more comfortable with striking and
T'Larah used the opportunity to roll away. The Vulcan sprung to her feet
with little effort, backing away. Keira tried standing and her left leg
wouldn't work.
"What did you do?" Keira asked, "I can't stand."
"A nerve strike." T'Larah answered simply. "An application of Vulcan neuro
pressure."
Keira tried to stand again, instead of attempting to use her muscles, she
pulled her leg straight by backing up and locked it straight. "Is it
permanent?"
"No your nerve control will return in time.We can stop if you don't want to
continue." the Vulcan said. Secure in her knowledge most participants took
her offer of withdrawal.
"Sometimes..." she began as she worked herself to her feet. Now standing
mostly on her right, her left, locked straight off to the side for balance,
"we can only tell exactly how far we can push ourselves by doing so."
Pushing past the discomfort of her situation, she grinned. "Besides as the
expression goes, *I didn't hear no bell.*"
"Then I will hasten the completion of our arrangement." The Admiral said
and began her own offensive.
Keira put up her defenses, and tried to stay mobile while using her numb
leg as a pivot point. Once the Admiral approached the contest reignited in
earnest. A flurry of attempted blows, feints, and grapples began from both
sides. Fists, palms and elbows thrown with precision, but none seeming
quite to land fully. While reaching for a hold the Admiral had finally left
an opening, and Keira took it. An elbow landed on the side of the Vulcan's
face with a dull thud.
No sooner had the sizable crowd that had gathered made a collective sound
of amazement then T'Larah had grabbed the offered arm, ducked under using
her weight and the Romulan's momentum carrying her opponent over to the
ground and on her back. Accompanied by OOOHS and AAHHS by the crowd. Still
holding Keira's wrist the Vulcan woman spun around and into an arm bar.
There was some struggle, but ultimately it was locked in. No escape for the
Captain.
"Since you're using Human colloquialisms, I believe,* tap, nap or snap* is
in order." T'Larah said, casually and calmly as if it were just an ordinary
Tuesday. "Will you yield?"
"No." Keira said through gritted teeth.
"If you do not concede I will injure you." the Vulcan said plainly.
"I'm. Not. Giving. Up." Keira said still struggling.
"Very well, you were warned." the Admiral said and with a sudden jerk a
instant burning and stabbing pain shot down Keira's arm. Her eyes widened
in shock and she issued a clearly audible grunt and groan. The Admiral
released the arm and stood while Merek curled up clutching her arm.
"Two of your limbs are disabled. This contest is over." She pointed to an
audience member that was in uniform. "You call a medical team now."

(Starbase Freedom - Level 13 - Gymnasium- Captain Casian Dahr and.
Vice-Admiral T’larah Sullivan - 1817)
Casian had been sitting in his office wondering what was going on with
this inquisition from Vice-Admiral Sullivan. Something seemed odd about it.
He needed to speak with Keira Merek. The computer had informed him that she
was in the gymnasium.
When he entered he nodded to some of the crewmen who were working out. The
smell of perspiration hung heavily in the chamber and the sounds effort.
Then he caught the dull thunder of someone striking a punching bag. Moving
around the room he could see that it was Merek.
He watched and listened to the rhythm of her combinations appreciatively.
It was clear the woman knew how to fight. He wondered what her actual
experience was. He was no master of any martial art, but war was a good
teacher. In his youth he might have asked her for a friendly match. But
now… maybe not.
The room went silent as Vice-Admiral Sullivan entered. Dahr stepped back
against the wall as she addressed Merek, giving the impression that they
were going to spar. This was going to be worth watching and he took a seat
on a weight bench.
The fight was quite spectacular and for a short time Merek was holding
her. But it was clear that she was outmatched, especially after the nerve
strike, which even made Dahr wince.
To Dahr’s surprise, given the opportunity to withdraw Merek decided to
continue the match with only one functioning leg. He could see the fire in
her eyes, but also the inevitable conclusion in the eyes and mannerisms of
the Vulcan.
When Merek’s elbow struck Sullivan’s cheek he could tell that the Admiral
had laid a trap and sprung it, as took hold of the offered arm and brought
Merek to the ground and into a tight arm bar. This fight was over.
The Vulcans voice spoke as sticky as ever. "Since you're using Human
colloquialisms, I believe, tap, nap or snap is in order. Will you yield?"
To Casian’s surprise Merek refused to concede. Even more surprising was
the Vice-Admiral’s threat.
"If you do not concede I will injure you." the Vulcan said plainly.
Casian had hoped that common sense would prevail but the Hades CO, but she
was, if nothing else, consistent and continued to struggle,
uncompromisingly, refusing to admit defeat in the face of injury.
With her final warning Sullivan lifted her hips and pulled the arm until a
crack indicated it reaching its breaking point.
Sullivan stood up and stepped back from Merek. "Two of your limbs are
disabled. This contest is over."
She looked at the awed crowd and pointed to an uniformed security officer.
"You call a medical team now."
Dahr stepped around Ensign Pak and put a hand on his shoulder. “I’ll take
it from here Mr. Pak.” He moved over and knelt by the injured Merek.
Looking up at Sullivan he frowned.
“I saw your position,” he said. “You could have changed your position to a
choke hold and simply rendered her unconscious. Did logic dictate this?”
“Logic?” The Admiral shook her head, “No, her choices did. She was given
three opportunities to stop. She declined.”
Dahr shrugged, “True, but the final decision to finish in that manner was
yours. I just find it… an interesting choice. Unless there was more at
stake here than simple training exercise. “
Then he looked at Merek. He had words to say to her as well but chose to
hold them right now. He tapped his comm badge.
“Dahr to Main Medical, transporting in with Captain Merek with a broken
arm.”
=^=Roger that. We have a bed in Emergency for her.=^=
Then he tapped his badge again, "Computer, STS to Main Medical Emergency,
now.”
Without response the pair disappeared in a haze of transporter effect.

SBFREEDOM-RPG: HADESRPG: (1 - 1820) MCO - Major Sean Masters & V.Adm. T'Larah Sullivan
From: docholladay2021 at gmail.com (Todd Holladay)
Date: Mon, 29 Sep 2025 20:49:02 -0500
Mission: Sequester
Day: 1
Stardate: 2446.09.03
(Starbase Freedom - Level 13 - MCO - Major Sean Masters - 1820)
Sean was enjoying his time with his girlfriend and her hang-around Binar
partner. That peace was broken when he heard skuttlebutt about some Admiral
fighting the Captain of the Hades. He inquired further and heard the name
of the Admiral. He told Kassandra "I gotta go." and threw on his jacket,
shoved his feet into sandals and made his way to the fight location.
He bumped into people with a hurried apology as he nearly sprinted towards
the gymnasium once on the proper level. He got there just in time to see
the crowd dissipate and Captain Merek to do the same in a transporter beam.
He weaved his way onto the main floor through the expanding wave that
became of the gathered masses.
"Admiral, did you beat up my taxi driver?" Sean used the derogatory
colloquialism that his father had used in his Marine Corps days
referring to the ships that brought them to and from their various
missions.
"Sean, it's agreeable to see you," the Admiral said, turning towards
Masters. "I didn't know you were stationed here at Freedom."
"I'm not stationed at Freedom," Sean said with a sigh, "it's the Hades, the
one who's Captain you beat up."
"It wouldn't be proper for me to..." she began, " not a proper use of
authority."
It wasn't something Sean wanted to get into with all these witnesses.
Opening dirty laundry with an audience wasn't one of his pastimes.
What did you do? Did you choke Captain Merek out?" Sean was fully aware of
the combat capabilities of the Admiral. "...shove her nasal cartilage into
her brain?"
"Arm bar...." T'Larah answered. She began walking to the exit. Sean
followed, knowing the conversation would have to be a walking one.
"...but that wouldn't." Sean said, confused.
"... she didn't yield." she finished.
Sean winced at the thought, knowing exactly what that entailed. He finally
looked his mother in the face, and he noticed it, the green swelling. He
dropped the overly structured demeanor he adopted ever since she sent him
to a military prep school, "Looks like you took a hit, mom."
She reached up to where her son was indicating, it was warmer than the rest
of her face, slightly raised. "Captain Merek is a decent fighter. She
managed to score a hit."
"Just the one?" Sean grinned, knowing not only did his mother make her
combatant earn that hit, he also knew his mom likely deserved every
picometer of that swelling. "You should go get that looked at."
"Verywell, I will." T'Larah promised. "You should probably get back to what
you were doing, don't want to waste your shore leave."
"I'm not leaving until I see you actually go into the infirmary." Sean
said, determined.
"You don't have the authority." Sullivan said.
"You're not in my food-chain, Admiral." Sean redoubled his determination,
"I'm your next of kin. I could make a call to station security, concerned
for your safety."
"You wouldn't..." her eyes narrowed, except she knew he would. "Fine. Let's
go."

SBFREEDOM-RPG: (3-1400) Captain Casian Dahr
From: almuir62 at gmail.com (Al Muir)
Date: Mon, 1 Sep 2025 11:52:31 -0700
Mission: Guess Who's Coming to Dinner
Day: 3
Stardate: 2446.09.25
(Starbase Freedom - Level 2 - Main Operations CO’s Office - Captain Casian
Dahr- 1400)
Casian had been going through the reports that had come in from all of the
activity from the previous days. What a mess it had nearly been. They had
only been saved through blind luck and divine intervention. It didn’t hurt
to have the people he had working to solve the situation.
Finally he took a deep breath and pressing record key on his terminal
display. “Computer, record report.”
[Recording, honey.]
He sighed heavily. There was going to be a conversation with Ms Adams.
“Let’s start with the good stuff. Negotiations between the Tholians and the
Romulans were successful. The Tholians now have new territory that has the
right astronomical makeup for their people to live in, while the Tomukans
now have a new neighbor between them. And the Klingons. That’s a
partnership well worth the price.”
He tapped the holographic display of the areas of space being affected and
attached it to the message.
“Apparently the Tholians have discovered a natural occurring transwarp
conduit that leads them through a subspace river through Klingon space.
It’s not a wormhole, but is technically, not in Klingon space. The ends of
this conduit are, conveniently, in Tholian space and at the star cluster
the Tholians just acquired.”
He paused then said, “Computer, encode this next section and earmark it for
Temporal Affairs.”
[Of course, sweetie.]
Casian rolled his eyes. “The arrival of T’xen Toks was fortuitous. With
his support we were able to prevent a most unfortunate set of circumstances
that would have assuredly destroyed the base, killing all on board. It
could have set back our relations with both the Romulans and the Tholians
decades or longer. I’m sure you’ll hear more from him on the matter.”
Casian looked at Lt Green’s report of her conversation with Gahns.
“As for Dolan Gahns,” Dahr continued, “it appears he was being , shall we
say, led astray by another. The description he gave of this being was oddly
familiar. Something from a historical review from centuries ago. But I’ll
need to check into that more. I’m certain that we have not seen the last of
him, or who he represents.”
“Fortunately Mr. T’xen Toks arrival was fortuitous. Apparently a plot to
destroy Freedom was thwarted thanks to combined efforts of himself and Dr.
Penn, who’s joined us from the Illuminar. So we are still here, at least in
this timeline. Not sure what we did that was different from the other
timelines that were not as successful. Or even if those timelines still
exist.”
“I cannot begin to express how time travel and quantum entanglement gives
me a headache and a knot in the pit of my stomach. I’m not even sure I want
it all explained to me.”
“But thank the gods that be that President Zon was here to take credit for
it all. He managed to emerge at the finalization of the treaty to get his
video op with Ambassador A’Auton and Senator Kasic. He did promise me to
keep me out of politics.”
“On a personal note,” Casian concluded, “I am looking forward to the return
of my beloved Roxanne from her medical conference. It was odd how it came
about and her departure didn’t have the usual rituals that we typically
have when we know we’ll be apart for a while. She said it was something
that just came up. Still, I’ll be happier when she’s home and we’re back
together.”
“Computer, end recording and send to command.”
[Im always here for you, my love.]
Casian sighed and tapped his comm badge. “Dahr to Ensign Adams, I need to
see you in my office immediately to discuss the changes made to our AI.”
