"This is Trojan two zero heavy & hot calling the USS Paladin, please acknowledge", he added. "This is Ensign Knightley of the USS Paladin, please report your access codes immediatly." "Golf one niner, epsilon four dash six niner niner", said the pilot answering the call for the verbal clearance codes from the Paladin, before then entering the required digital encryptions to back up the verbals. Ensign Knightley checked over her console to check the validation of the codes from the ship. "Confirmed, welcome to the USS Paladin. Direct your ship to hangar bay two. Coordinates are being transmitted to you." "Confirmed, proceeding to hanger bay two as directed, get the showers on & the hot water a runnin boys", said the pilot as he set the Trojans flight computer to automatically intercept the ILS coming from the Paladin. The captain then gave orders for security teams to be placed throughout the ship to guard sensitive areas, and instructed the medical personnel to prepare to take on wounded. "Engineering, weapons, shields, and engines should all be at 100% or better," she said to Ensign Rathyn and Lt. Matrix. "Work with Lt. T'Vhor to make sure they are all calibrated properly and in perfect working order." "One hundred percent is our minimum standard, Captain," Rathyn answered with one corner of her mouth tilting in a quirky smile. (Reply: any) (Posted by David) (USS Paladin - Main Engineering - ACEO Ensign Tristen - 1300) Ensign Tristen walked briskly around the engine room. He checked on multiple consoles for many different equations and protocols. Zack did not miss any of his duties while he took a short shore leave on Starbase Geneva. He finally got a solid good night rest in, and got to have conversations with his friends with out having to talk about the ships repairs and what not. But now he was back on the Paladin and preparing it to go into a battle. No, battles. He found himself refreshed and he felt wonderful to be back in the engine room. Not very long after Zack finished with his last equation the next crew shift came in. Meaning that some one else was going to be tacking over and he would not have so much work to do. Zack had volunteered to work a double shift due to the up coming battles. The CEO had more work than normal for everyone, and Zack was proud that the CEO wanted to work with him. Ensign Tristen looked over the schedule and also noticed that Ensign Rathyn was working this new shift, and wondered if all three of the senior Engineering officers were going to be working together. The next person Zack saw walking into engineering was Lt. Matrix. Ensign Tristen walked over to him. "Sir, what if your first plan?" (reply Steve, David) (posted by Calvin Capps) (USS Paladin - Main Engineering - CEO LT JG Steve Matrix - 1300) The next person Zack saw walking into engineering was Lt. Matrix. Ensign Tristen walked over to him. "Sir, what if your first plan?" Matrix had been reviewing almost everything going on in the ship, even other departments. Trying to get a sense of the "big picture." His engineering staff had grown and he welcomed the new additions. Everyone was eager to get to work, including himself. As he entered main engineering he noticed Ensign Tristen. "Ah Ensign good to see you." (Reply Tristen) Matrix glanced at this PADD, "I'm sorry Ensign, I didn't understand your earlier question, could you rephase that?" (Reply Tristen) (Posted by Steve Smith) USS Paladin - Bridge - FO Lt. Cmdr Calvin Capps - 15:50) "Sir, unidentified contact bearing 0ne ninety, mark four zero", said T`Vhor. "Can you give me any more information Lt. T'Vhor," Calvin wanted to know before he made a more specific decision. "I am not sure sir, she is not transmitting identification codes", added T`Vhor. "Hail and be ready to go to yellow alert." "She is not responding to hails sir", said T`Vhor. "Give helm the location of those ships. Lt. Max bring us about for a stand. Go to red alert." "Aye sir, coordinates fed to helm", said T`Vhor as he complied with the first officers orders. The Paladin quickly brought her bow to bear on the incoming target, raising her shields & going to red alert as she did so. "She is still not responding to hails sir, although I predict a seventy eight percent margin that she is one of ours", said T`Vhor. "Power up weapons, Lt. T'Vhor." Calvin was now starting to see this was going to be worst than he thought it was. Lt. Cmdr Capps was mislead by thinking that he was waiting for 40 ships to rendavous with them. Since Calvin thought that he was not ready for an unkown vessel that possibly could be the Paladin's enemy. "There is another incoming sir, directly behind the first vessel, she is targetting the lead ship", said T`Vhor. "Protect us, and the lead ship. Get ready Lt. T'Vhor. Ensign Knightly call the Captain." "The second target is confirmed as hostile, an Akira class, the lead vessels shields are at sixty four percent sir", said T`Vhor. "Fire!" Lt. Cmdr Capps said strongly. "Aye sir, aquiring target, target is aquired & locked, firing now sir", said T`Vhor as the Paladin let fly with her forward photon torpedo launchers. The hostile imediately fell to impulse as the shots struck home. With her concentration solely upon the other vessel, she had neglected to scan ahead & see the other ships in her wake. Consequently, she had not been ready for the Paladin. The first shots had disabled the Akira`s warp drive, giving the other vessel a large advantage as she raced onwards towards her redeemers & away from the pursuing foe. Lt T`Vhor imediately rescanned both of the incoming targets to verify their status, reporting to the FO as he did so. "The Akira has disengaged & is retreating sir, the lead vessel is now transmitting codes", said T`Vhor. "Who," was all Calvin had to say. "It`s the USS Valorous sir, she is signalling a medical emergency, they have casualties", said T`Vhor. "Ensign Knightley get sickbay ready." "Shall we engage the Akira sir?", said T`Vhor, "There is a chance she may now know our rendevouz location & relay this to Doenitz`s forces", he added. Calvin knew a pause at this time was not the best course of action, but he felt it was the right one at this time. "Hold Lt. T'Vhor." "Aye sir, standing by", said T`Vhor. At that time the Captain had stepped on to the bridge ready to give his orders in which Lt. Cmdr Capps was waiting for. "Open a channel to the S'Urak, the Valkyrie, and the Hannibal. They are to pursue that Akira and destroy it," Eva ordered, "Inform Sickbay to stand by to receive wounded. Then inform the Valorous we are standing by to receive their wounded and have engineering teams standing by to assist them if they require." Eva crossed her arms as she looked at the Valorous on the main viewer. ~I hoped to never see another war. Now I have to wage the worst type of war. War against ones own. Gods help us all.~ After the Captain was done with his orders Calvin spoke up again. "Sir, I will be in sickbay." (reply any all) (posted by Calvin Capps) (USS Paladin - Sickbay - FO Lt. Cmdr Calvin Capps - 1600) Lt. Cmdr Capps walked into sickbay and saw medical nurses carring in paitients from the Valorous. No one had noticed the FO come in, and that was ok with Calvin because he did not want to slow down the pace of the medical team. Lt. Cmdr Capps walked further into sickbay and watched as a few more paitients were being beamed directly to sickbaty from the damaged Valorous. Calvin stood against the wall for a few minutes tring to stay out of the way whilst watching Dr. Keller operate on one officer. The FO then continued on his path through sick bay. He came nearly into contact with Dr. Kaeter. He watched him prep on another officer, but this officer caught Calvin's eye for some reason. He wasn't for sure if it was the rugged look of the offier or if it was just the minor wounds the officer had sustained. Calvin then noticed the officers pips. The gentelmen that was seated on the bio bed was a Lt. Cmdr. Lt. Cmdr Capps decided to talk with him. "Doctor," the first officer called out as he walked in the doctors direction. "How is your patient?" Calvin kept the flow of the conversation going. (reply Alessio) The First Officer turned to the patient. "You are one of the lucky ones Lt. Cmdr?" Calvin put into a question tone tyring to get the officer to tell him his name. "I am Lt. Cmdr Wallington. I am the chief engineering officer on the Valorous." "I am Lt. Cmdr Capps, First Officer of the Paladin. Calvin and the other officer looked at each other for a moment. There was a weird feeling that was going through Calvin's body. "Can you tell me why you were being chased by that Akira class.?" "Yes sir. The Valorous was heading to the set rendavous point. While on our way past the near by planets the Akira class ship warped toward us from behind the third moon. We didn't see the Akira ship because of the strong magnetic field. That was when I had to try to get the Valorous moving faster than ever. We were trying to get here before we were blown up to pieces. We fought back, but they had crippled us with their first shot. Then we were lucky enough to make it here in time." Calvin asked back with a question. "After knowing that the Akira class ship was behind the moon, did you try to scan for more ships in that system." The officer looked down. "No sir." "Thank you, Lt. Cmdr. As soon as your done I am sure the Valorous will need you in Engineering." "Thank you for your time Dr. Kaeter." Calvin now had one report to turn in, but Lt. Cmdr Capps knew he should also try to talk to the FO and the Captain of the Valorous as well as look into any reports on this matter if anyone has done one yet. The FO also thought about the third moon and wondered if there still could be more ships hidden behind it or was the Akira ship a watch ship, but the Captain was stupid enough to reveal his position. He knew that he would need to talk with Captain Straton and Lt. T'Vhor before porcedding. (reply Dr. Kaeter, any) (posted by Calvin Capps) (USS Paladin - Toward Turbo Lift - FO Lt. Cmdr Capps - 1620) As Calvin made his way back to the bridge, he thought about the Valorous ship that was just attacked. He not only thought abou the physical ship being attacked, but he thought more about the poeple in the ship. Those thoughts all went back to his new girlfriend Elizabeth. Their relationship have been going very smooth and they were having alot of fun together, but Calvin never really thought about the bad things that could happened. Those things were endless. The first officer ran a few scenarios in his mind. ~I could go on an away mission and never come back, then Elizabeth would have to start over with someone else.~ Not only did the thought of her being with out him, but he couldn't believe a life without her if the away mission roles were switched. The FO would have to continue his career and life with out the person he knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. The thought of the bad things had never been in Calvins thoughts before, but now they were, and they were forcing Lt. Cmdr Capps to think about. To ponder on the more sad notes of life. His thoughts than led him to the cold hard reality. The reality is that when Calvin and Elizabeth signed up with starfleet they knew that it was very possible for them to be in battles with any number of enimies. ~This is the life I want, and I am happy with it, and I will be happier with Elizabeth on my side.~ Calvin then grew a large smile on his face, and surprised to him the turbo lift doors opened. Calvin stepped inside the bridge with happiness, hope, and inspiration. Calvin was determined now more than ever to help end this now civil war so heopfully peace can prevail someday. (reply none, any) (posted by Calvin Capps) (USS Paladin - Bridge - FO Lt. Cmdr Capps - 1622) Calvin entered the bridge with urgent information or the lack of information for the Captain. Lt. Cmdr Capps waisted no time. He went to the front of the bridge, but as he passed the tactical station he looked over at Lt. T'Vhor. "Lt." Calvin simply said and then motioned in the direction he was headed toward. Lt. Cmdr Caps then found himself at the FO chair where he sat. Lt. T'Vhor had followed and now stood infront of the Captain and FO. "Captain i just finished talking with the Chief Engineer of the Valorous." Can then continued to tell the Captain and the Chief Tactical officer how the Valorous was chased and the possibility that there could be more ships behind the third moon. "Sir, I suggest we try to see if we can some how penetrate the magnetic force and run accurate scans for more enemy ships." (reply Captain, T'Vhor) (posted by Calvin Capps) (USS Paladin - Bridge - TAC/SC T`Vhor - 16:22) The posibility of more hostiles hiding someplace unseen, was a distinctly undesirable prospect. If there were anything, they needed to know now. The First officer had already spoken with the chief engineer of the Valorous, he had also discussed it with Lt T`Vhor & now both of them had approached the CO. "Sir, I suggest we try to see if we can some how penetrate the magnetic force and run accurate scans for more enemy ships.", said The FO. "We could send a Class V probe to reconnoitre the imediate area of the moon in question sir", said T`Vhor. "Just to be certain", he added. (Reply Capps, Straton, Any) (Posted by Alan Reading) (USS Paladin - Bridge - FO Lt. Cmdr Capps - 1623) "We could send a Class V probe to reconnoitre the imediate area of the moon in question sir", said T`Vhor. "Just to be certain", he added. Calvin took in the suggestion from Lt. T'Vhor. "Wouldn't we need to mask the trail of the probe some how. If there are enemy vessels there, they might be able to track down its origin and find our location." Calvin now was looking at the Captain. He then turned toward the science console. "Lt. Brownlee." Calvin spoke. This was beggining to become a group discussion. Calvin updated the Chief Science officer of the situation.Calvin turned his head and looked at Lt. T'Vhor and Lt. Brownlee. "Do you have an idea of masking the trail of the probe?" (reply form Alan, Wes, Spencer) (posted by Calvin Capps) (USS Paladin - Deck 1, Bridge - CSO Lieutenant (jg) Joran Matthew Brownlee- 1623) Joran was listening in on the conversation at hand, and formulating solutions in his head. He pulled up the data on the alien cloak in order to see if they could use it. "We could send a Class V probe to reconnoitre the imediate area of the moon in question sir", he heard T'Vhor say. "Just to be certain", he added. "Wouldn't we need to mask the trail of the probe some how. If there are enemy vessels there, they might be able to track down its origin and find our location," the FO replied. Cmdr. Capps now was looking at the Captain. He then turned toward the science console. "Lt. Brownlee." Calvin spoke. This was beggining to become a group discussion. Calvin updated the Chief Science officer of the situation.Calvin turned his head and looked at Lt. T'Vhor and Lt. Brownlee. "Do you have an idea of masking the trail of the probe?" "Actually," Joran began, "if you can remember the new Romulan cloak we encountered on Stardate 83820, after studying the configuration, I may be able to consruct a working replica. We could use that to hide the probe." (reply Straton, Capps, T'Vhor) "I would probably need a field inverter, a field generator, a plasma weld, and maybe about two hours. Is that acceptable?" (reply Straton, Capps, T'Vhor, any) (posted by Spencer) (USS Paladin, Bridge , CO, Captain Eva Straton, 16:25) Eva was seated in the command chair listening to her FO, TAC\SC, and CSO discussing the possibility of more hostiles in a nearby system. Eva was considering the implications of having enemy forces so nearby to supposedly 'friendly space. ~This is indeed something we need to investigate.~ "This is all very good," Eva said, as Lt. Brownlee finished speaking. "However, I have a better idea. Lets send a star ship to survey the system. A cloaked star ship." She pointed at the main viewer and the USS Praetor. "A star ships sensors are going to be far better than a probe. Ensign Knightley, hail the Praetor. I want to speak to Captain Ryenalds." A few seconds latter, the main viewer switched to display the bridge of the Praetor, and her Captain a dark skinned human man with a well trimmed beard. =/\=Captain Straton, pleasure to meet you,=/\= Captain Ryenalds said, smiling. "As it is you Captain,"Eva said, standing, "Unfortunately, I didn't call to chit-chat. I need you to go in and snoop around a nearby system. We have received reports of possible hostiles hiding out there. I want the Praetor to go in under cloak and take a good look around. If there are hostile forces in system, assess their number and strength and report back. You are not to engage. Your mission is recon only. We are sending to coordinates on a separate channel. Questions?" Eva pointed at Knightley to send the coordinates. =/\=Negative Captain,=/\= Ryenalds said, his eyes briefly looking at someone off screen. =/\=We have the coordinates. Should be a piece-of-cake. A quick look around and back out again. We should be back within two standard hours. Praetor out. =/\= Ryenalds closed the connection and the viewer switched back to a display of the forward star field and the other ships in formation. Within seconds the Praetor shimmered and disappeared from sight. Eva nodded as she turned back to regard Lt. Brownlee. "Just as a precaution, go ahead and prepare a probe," She said, as she retook her seat. "If they run into trouble, I want to know about as soon as possible." (Reply Brownlee) (Posted by Wes) (USS Paladin - Deck 67 - Marine storage - MCO Tirrel - 16:30) MCO Tirrel was the kind of man that liked to check things out himself rather than dump all of the mundane workload upon his men as some might do. It wasn`t that he didn`t trust their ability or their judgement, he just preferred to work with them on ground level rather than just order them about without getting his own hands dirty too. It built trust & confidence, they were a team, a family & his men respected that. Conner stood next to the young marine reading off the checklist on the PADD in his hand. They had just been checking the main stores & munitions in order to confirm everything was at optimal operational readiness. He had paid particular attention to the marine boarding torpedoes on this occasion as these were most likely to be amongst the first used in any skirmish with the enemy if their mission turned out to be hot. Everything of course had checked out fine just as expected & the two men having finished the inspections walked out & into the coridoor. Conner then opened up a secure com to the three men stationed on active fighter detachment as they patrolled the area around the main fleet. "Anything to report", said Conner. "No sir, nothing untoward sir, just the arrival of a lot of friendly Klingon heavy metal", said the pilot of one of the patrol fighters. Conner frowned, it was too damn quiet, he wasn`t used to quiet. "Keep your eyes peeled & report anything out of the ordinary directly to me", said the MCO. "Yes sir, confirmed your request, lead 1 out", came the reply. Conner then headed for the turbolift nearby. (Reply Straton, Any) (Posted by Alan Reading) (USS Paladin, Bridge, CO, Captain Straton, 17:32) "I have three contacts at warp speed bearing one ninety mark two zero sir", said T`Vhor. "Identify," Eva said, not rising from her chair but turning her eyes to the main viewer. "One moment sir", said T`Vhor as he reconfigured the sensors accordingly. "Klingon sir, two K`Vort class Bird of Preys & one Negh`Var class Battle ship", said T`Vhor. "Transmit greeting codes and confirm their response," She ordered. "Aye sir, prompting for covert identification codes now", said T`Vhor as he sent the incoming contacts the required classified ID codes to confirm their identities. Eva rubbed her chin lightly as she waited for T'Vhor to confirm the approaching ships identities. Where they friend of foe? "They are responding with the required response sir & are now on an intercept course", said T`Vhor. "Ship designations?" Eva asked, now standing. "The DuQ`etlh, the Jogh & the Qang sir", said T`Vhor. "They have dropped out of warp & are slowing to impulse", he added. "Open a channel." Opening a channel now sir", said T`Vhor & immediately the battle scarred face of the proud looking Klingon on the DuQ`etlh appeared on the Paladins main viewer. =/\=Captain, it is indeed an honor to come to fight alongside you in your hour of need=/\=, said the gruff voiced Klingon. =/\=Captain Khang at your service=/\=, he added as he nodded in allegiance. "Good to have you along, Captain," Eva said, her voice firm. "I look forward to meeting you onboard the Paladin along with all the other captains to discuss strategy and tactics once all ships have arrived. Until then, coordinates with our Operations Officer and maintain formation." (Reply Khang, Any) (Posted by Wes) (IKS DuQ`etlh - Bridge - Captain Khang - 17:32) "Good to have you along, Captain," said the starfleet vessels captain. "I look forward to meeting you onboard the Paladin along with all the other captains to discuss strategy and tactics once all ships have arrived", she added. "Until then, coordinate with our Operations Officer and maintain formation." The big Klingon nodded once again. "Understood", he said. "More Klingon ships will be arriving here within the hour, our battles to come will be both glorious & victorious & we will celebrate the deaths of our enemies with much blood wine", he added his voice typically bordering on aggressive Klingon arrogance as he spoke, or rather shouted.... The crew on the bridge of the Paladin just stared. To those who knew Klingons, it was expected behaviour, for those new recruits however, it was an eye opener. For some of them, this was the first tiime they had actually seen a Klingon regailed & preparing for battle. And it filled them with hope...... (Reply Any, None, IYW) (POsted by Alan Reading) (USS Paladin - Bridge - TAC/SC T`Vhor, Captain Khang - 18:20) The Klingon`s had certainly been spot on with their timings, it was now less than an hour after the DuQ`etlh`s Captain had stated the arrival of the mass of the Klingon fleets arrival, & now here they were. Within a few minutes of each, they had appeared on long range sensors, communicated with the DuQ`etlh & moved to intercept & converge with the assembled battle group. Lt T`Vhor relayed their movements to Captain Straton as they took place, it was clear though that the Klingons were intending to maintain their own command sub structure within the main theatre of conflict as they liased with the three ships already on station. They had sworn their allegience to the federation via Ambassador Tane & being warriors of honour, the Klingons would of course not betray that. Lt T`Vhor`s eyes were fixed upon the viewscreen as the ships arrived, as were the rest of the Paladin bridge crew`s eyes. It was kind of a relief that they were allies & not enemies as they had been in the past for the Klingons were now showing an impressive presence all around them. Imediately they had established themselves, the DuQ`etlh was hailing the Paladin. Lt T`Vhor turned to the CO as she watched the screen. "We are being hailed sir", he said almost as though it were obvious that they would be anyway. (Reply Straton) The familiar face of Captain Khang then appeared on the main viewer once again. "Captain Straton, we now have a proud & formidable fleet ammassed & ready for battle it would seem, with the arrival of the rest of your task force it would be wise to move from this area as quickly as possible", said Khang. (Reply Straton) "The Captain of the J`Dahg has informed me there are snakes in the grass eager to strike not too far away from our current location", said Khang. (Reply Straton) "Very well Captain, I await your next communication", said Khang as the main viewer returned to it`s normal starfield vista. (USS Paladin, Bridge, CO, Captain Straton, 18:21) Eva sat in her command chair and watched the main viewer as the Klingon ships arrived en mass. Her hands folded in front of her, she listened to Lt. T'Vhor's running report on their arrival and their communications with the DuQ`etlh. Not a single Klingon ship other than the DuQ`etlh had communicated with the Paladin directly. Eva felt her displeasure with the Klingon's growing every second. "We are being hailed sir," T'Vhor said. Eva rose. "On screen," She said flatly. =/\=Captain Straton, we now have a proud & formidable fleet amassed & ready for battle it would seem, with the arrival of the rest of your task force it would be wise to move from this area as quickly as possible,=/\= said Khang. Eva scowled, as she stared at the Klingon captain on the main viewer, but she said nothing, yet. ~He thinks I know nothing of tactics and strategy. The idiot.~ =/\=The Captain of the J`Dahg has informed me there are snakes in the grass eager to strike not too far away from our current location,=/\= said Khang. "Is that so," Eva said suddenly, her voice hard and cold, "Captain Khang. My orders were to take command of this battle group. Not just the Federation ships in the battle group, but the *entire* battle group. That includes *ALL* Klingon ships in it. ALL ships will liaison directly with the Paladin and will take their orders from the Paladin. We can not hope to win this battle if we are not united. That means a unified command structure. That means Star Fleet and Klingon working side by side in tandem taking their orders from the same chain-of-command. Not two separate chains. If you wish to challenge me for command of this battle group then by all means beam over to the Paladin and we will settle this. In Klingon fashion. Is that your wish, Captain?" (IKS DuQ`etlh - Bridge - Captain Khang - 18:21) If you wish to challenge me for command of this battle group then by all means beam over to the Paladin and we will settle this. In Klingon fashion. Is that your wish, Captain?", said the Starfleet Captain. For a moment, the bridge crew of the DuQ`etlh fell silent at Stratons outburst, it didn`t quite seem right that she had said what she had said & Klingon jaws had dropped. In a moment though, the big Klingon sat in the centre chair raised his hands & laughed a gutteral roar of a laugh in responce. "Aaaaaagh!", he cried, "Spoken like a true Klingon warrior Captain, I admire your....", he said pausing to find the right word. "Aggresion", he added turning to the Klingon alongside him as he did so. "Heghqang!!", he said, the other Klingon nodded & laughed at his words. The Klingon Captain then returned his gaze to the main viewer once again. "Aggresion will be required in our coming battles, it is good to see your heart fired in this manner", said Khang raising his arms in the air as though rallying to the cause. "It will not be neccesary for us to fight amongst ourselves at this time Captain Straton, it is neither honourable or indeed a fair match", said Khang as he sat back into his chair allowing his hands to fall upon his thighs as he did so. "I gracefully acceed to your authority in this matter in allegiance to Ambassador Tane & the cause", said Khang lowering his head, "contact me when you have decided your next tactical maneouver", he added abruptly as he imediately shut off the main viewer in true arrogant Klingon style. One corner of her mouth crocked upward in an amused smirk. She turned around and looked at her bridge crew. "With Klingon's one must always be firm," She said, as a teacher would to a room full of students. "Stand up to them and they will respect you. Let them intimidate you and they will have nothing but contempt for you." She stepped back over to the command chair and sat down, then turned toward Lt. T'Vhor. "Lieutenant, contact the J`Dahg and get the details on those 'snakes in the grass' Captain Khang mentioned," She said, turning back toward the main viewer. (Reply T'Vhor) "Ensign Knightley, what is the battle groups current operational status? Have repairs on the Valorous been completed yet?" Eva asked, while she waited for her tactical officer to report. It appeared that she was of the mind that she had got one over on the Klingon but T`Vhor of course knew what Khang had said to his first officer when he had spoken in Klingon during their conversation. "Lieutenant", said the Captain turning towards him, "contact the J`Dahg and get the details on those 'snakes in the grass' Captain Khang mentioned," She added. "Aye sir, contacting the J`Dahg now", said T`Vhor as his hands worked the console before him. Within a few minutes, the Klingon ship had responded & sent the details onto the Tactical console. In Klingon...... Luckily, Lt T`Vhor was fluent in Klingon & quickly translated the script. He then turned to the Captain once again. "Three ships, 15.9 parsecs off Gamma Hydrea sir, unknown vessels of federation configuration in close formation cruising at warp & on a near intercept course with our current location", said T`Vhor. He moved his dead looking eyes and looked at the viewscreen. Sure enough there was a klingon. Rubbing his eyes Greg left his station and headed down to ten forward for a strong cup of coffee. As he left an ensign Jg came out of nowhere and took his place. ~ Now that is what you call handy! ~ Greg stretched as he entered the turbolift and let out a deep yawn. "Ten Forward." He said drowsily to the lift. The doors hissed open and it moved on its way again. (USS Paladin - Ten Forward - Ensign Greg Dunn - 1826) Greg shuffled towards a nearby replicator and randomly one of the many buttons on the front of the replicator in hope that coffee would appear. Alas a strange green liquid appeared, with a shrug Greg retrieved the liquid and gave it a quick sniff. It had a strong smell of battery acid. Putting the drink back in the replicator he pressed another button and the acid dissapeared and a strong black coffee appeared. ~Thats better. ~ He grabbed the handle of the cup and carried it over to a nearby table. Plopping himself in the seat he closed his eyes and inevitably fell asleep. She continued to run her scans on the numerous ships that kept warping to the set coordinates. Even though Starfleet has had some kind of an alliance with the Kligons sicne the Khitomer accords, she still got a little nercous around them. Now the Paladin was in chance of 20 Klingon ships. If the Klingon ships wasn't enough for her fears to start to show, the commanding officer of the IKS DuQ'etlh was now ordering the fleet commanding officer Straton. Captain Straton however was strong with Captain Khang. Captain Straton than gave the officers on the bridge advice on how to deal with Klingons. ~Be strong with them?~ Elizabeth pondered a second on the Klingons. Although Ensign Knightley gladly accepted that shew was a little scared around Klingons, she was proud that she had the will power to still work with them with out effecting her. Soon after Captain Straton went back to her chair she began to five out a couple of commands. "Ensign Knightley, what is the battle groups current operational status? Have repairs on the Valorous been completed yet?" Elizabeth was now proud to have the answer for the Cpatain so quickly. "The battle group is now 75 percent complete. The Valorous is @ 62 percent. Only on of the Nacelles are operational. Estimated time for the ship to be functional is at 0800." Ensign Knightley worked her board and waited to see if the Captain needed anything else. It was a feeling she hadn't gotten since the Dominion War in her home reality. It was a feeling she had learned through experience to listen to. Max at the CONN station. Although there was always a need for a CONNofficer to be present, so the First Officer thought it would be best to use this time to let a less experienced officer at the CONN console. Lt. Max wanted to use this time to the maximum. He knew that he would have to talk with the tactical officers for some up to date maneuvers against the up coming battles. First thoughLt. Max needed a little break before continuing with his duty. He made his way to the holodeck. Lately Max had not been able to spend much time in his favorite holodeck programs. Even today Lt. Max was not going to use one of his normal programs. No, today was a special day because he has not had much R&R even when the ship was at Geneva. Max was a hands on type of officer, and while at Spacedock Geneva he wanted to remain on the ship and help the crew with the repairs. He continued inside the holodeck and looked at the many black squares that was outlined by yellow lines. Max started the program. The holodeck transformed to total blackness. Max could not see anything, and that is exactly what Max wanted. Day in and day out each person views objects somehow. People have thoughts, and these things was exactly what Lt. max wanted to get away from. He wanted everything around him to be empty and he wanted his thoughts to be blank. This was truly the only place to go to get away from everything. Max layed down on his back, opened his eyes, and made his existence void. "Got to keep up the practice." He exclaimed jokingly to himself. In the range he called up several Romulan targets and a few civillians To add as obstacles. "Computer disable safety measures." He barked at the computer and waited a few minutes before giving the initiate command. The Romulans were unusually quick on their toes and it was a challenge To hit them. One of the sneaky gits snuck up behind Greg and attempted to throttle him. He thrust his elbow back and into the Romulans abdomen and then he threw it accross the room where the hologram fizzled out. *Five minutes later* Greg had managed to kill all but one of the Romulans and this one was Particularly hard to find. Somthing was telling him that it was behind him so he spun around the rifle at the ready. Then it was upon him and with a flash of steel the Romulan rammed a blade into Greg's shoulder and the rifle clattered to the floor. "C...computer end program."
