NRPG: Still waiting for the marines to arrive, but we're going to move on, assuming they are there.
RPG:
Mission: The Ring of the Rephaim
Day: 3
Stardate: 2446.09.01
(USS Magellan - Passenger Deck - 2O/CSec/Tac - Lt. Commander T’Mur - 0940)
Corday was the last to enter and looked around at all of the people. It was a full load. He shook his head then headed towards the flight deck. He stopped beside T’Mur and said, “If anyone else wants to come they’ll have to hang on to the outside of the shuttle, Lt. Commander.”
T’Mur raised an eyebrow and cocked her head, “They likelihood of their survival of such an endeavor is… negligible. Fortunately this is everyone ordered to the mission.”
‘Snoopy’ sighed, realizing that sarcasm was lost on Vulcans. “That is fortunate. We’ll be ready for touch off in five. We’ll be able start early… for a change.”
T’Mur nodded as the pilot moved forward and looked at the team. They had all settled in. Small conversations were starting to break out among them.
“We shall be leaving momentarily,” she began, to get their attention. “The Illuminar is approaching something called a ringworld. This is an artificial megastructure in space, consisting of a rotating habitable ring rotating around a star. As we have been approaching we encountered a large asteroid which has a colony or a complex on it… uninhabited. We are headed there to see if we can determine anything about it’s inhabitants, and hopefully a clue as to the builders of that ringworld.
The atmosphere is not breathable and contains high levels of nitrogen and carbon dioxide, low levels of oxygen. It also has mineral particles suspended in it. The surface temperature is five degrees centigrade. Hence the EVA suits. Need I say that caution is recommended. Do you have any questions?”

With the briefing completed T’Mur looked towards the flight deck and called, “At your convenience Lt. Corday.”
“Aye, ma’am,” Carday called back. “Magellan to Flight, we are ready. Request permission to launch.”
=^=Permission granted. Safe flight.=^=
“That’ll be a change,” Corday said to himself, and hit the launch sequence. The shuttle lifted off the deck plating gently and moved out into space.
