(USS Illuminar - Deck 10 - Shuttlebay - USS Magellan -EO - Ensign Angus MacGuyver - 0933)
After Shaw had left him in main engineering Angus began to rumage through the tools and pull out the ones he knew he couldn't do without. Then he added a few multipurpose tools. He'd been reminded of his time when he was leaving the Caldos colony. He’d been put in charge of the delicate weather control substations. He was the only one that had been able to figure out and repair the equipment with the few tools he possessed.
When he left Caldos he could only take the tools he absolutely needed. He needed to leave the rest for the man he’d trained to take his place. It was way more training than he’d received.
Now he had a small box of tools as well as his bad if personal tools and had conscripted the help of Cadet Adams to carry the box for him. As they entered the bay MacGuyvers thick brogue carried through the air.
“And then I said, big enough, well I’ve no had any complaints yet.”
He burst out in a loud laugh. Wednesday reddened slight but laughed along with him. “You tell the naughtiest stories, Angus.” She handed him the box and said, “I really have to get back to work. Lt. Pex still doesn’t trust the Starfleet corp of engineers and wants to finish that realignment of the lateral sensor array in the next two hours.”
“Well thanks, lassie,” MacGuyver said. “I’ll see ye when we get back. With that he hefted the box to the shuttle and dropped it just inside the door. He stepped in and looked at the others.
“Sorry I’m a wee bit late, ma’am,” he said to T’Mur. “It took me a touch longer than I wanted to make sure I had all the tools I might need.”
“You are fine, Mr. MacGuyver,” T’Mur replied. “We are still waiting for one more person. I requested a medic to come with us. They should be here momentarily.”
“Aye,” the Scott said and found a seat next Shaw. He looked around the cabin and notice a mixed group of those who had chosen to wear their EVA suit and those who had chosen to put it on once they arrive.
He smiled evilly and said, “I hope we don’t have any problem with sudden and explosive decompression on this flight. At I chose to wear my EVA suit.”
