“Mr. Hammons, Mr. Boyles, I wish to speak with you… in my office.”

"After he finishes this life in Galaga." Boyles deadpanned then snickered
as Hammons jerked his head up and gave him a jaundiced eye.

"Maybe I should let you finish out the report instead Mister Handy. Are you
trying to get me in trouble after that epic fail last night?"

"The chief said she wanted to see us."

"We'll finish this later." Hammons poked Boyles in the back and hustled his
friend ahead of him into the Chief's office.

"Yes sir, what can we do for you?"

“I wanted to speak with you about an away mission, I am leading a party to
an asteroid that has, apparently, at one time been inhabited. That’s the
extent of our knowledge.  I want you two to accompany us.”

"Sounds like fun sir."

Hammons poked Boyles in the ribs. "I'll make sure to keep an eye on the
inner threats as well as the external ones."

“There is more. We will also have a contingent of marines with us.  I would
like to build a bridge between our two departments. I am uncertain why
there is a perceived conflict between us, but it is clearly there.  Any
comments or questions?”

"I don't think there is any animosity on our end chief." Steven shrugged.
"I think most of that was fostered by a few officers on both sides who
aren't here any longer. I don't have any problem working with them."

"Same here sir." Boyles piped up. " I'd be more that happy to tip a drink
or three with them."

“Report to the main hanger bay at 0930 hours. Dismissed.”

"Klink to Colonel Hogan."

Hammons rolled his eyes. "Please Boyles, you aren't a Tamarian."

The two exited with Boyles giving a drawn out, "Schuuuultz!"
