(USS Raptor – Deck 5 – Sickbay - FSXO, Lieutenant Tempest Greywolf – 0623)

 “I am sorry Lieutenant.  I don’t know much about your culture or way of
life. It wasn’t something I learned in New Zealand. Perhaps Lieutenant, if
we have time, you might teach me about your culture and more about the
ship?”

Tempest got serious. "Of course. Just remember that the plan was to return
to Illuminar after the mission so you are going to be learning about a far
different ship. She's less than a year old but she's been through a lot
already."

(Reply: Piripi)

"As for the Cherokee...," her lips straightened into a slight smile which
is as far as they normally got. "... I will be more than happy to introduce
you to our culture." She saw Lieutenant Weston slide Commander Solice into
an office and snorted as she looked back at Piripi. "It appears that the
Commander is going to be busy for a while."

(Reply: Piripi)

Tempest actually grinned at that one. "That is an old story and I don't
know all of the details, suffice it to say that those two have been through
a lot and against the wishes of at least one of the command crew. Commander
Verin has never liked him."

(Reply: Piripi)

"That's enough ships gossip for the day." She lightly rubbed the fingers of
her left hand which were stinging.
