(USS Raptor – Deck 1 – Bridge – CO, Captain Sekal – 0630)

“Sure, the shuttle is secured.”

He glanced at Ops. "Excellent. Helm, to Tellar, warp 5."

"Aye sir, warp 5."

There was a beeping noise from the retractable terminal in the command
chair arm, Sekal tapped the extension control and monitored the ships entry
into warp as it locked into place at full extension. This part of the
operation had been successful, the shuttle and crew had been recovered and
they were en- route to Tellar.

The message was not unexpected. He took his time perusing it then looked up.

"Second Lieutenant Temerity."

 “Yes, Sir?” The marine had been assisting during the search for the senior
officers.

Sekal motioned him closer. "I received a dispatch from command concerning
you."

(Reply: Temerity)

He tapped a button and the display retreated. "Your field promotion to
command of the marine contingent due to the death of the major has been
duly recognized. Once we have swapped crews and returned to the Illuminar
you will be in command of the squad there."

(Reply: Temerity)

The Vulcan crossed his legs. "This comes with a promotion to full
Lieutenant which will take effect upon return to the ship. Congratulations."

(Reply: Temerity, any)
