(USS Illuminar – Deck 5 – Sickbay – Ensign Torek, Operations – 1117)



Torek watched the doctor, “I may not be a medical professional,” he began,
“but can you please explain to me your process.  In the various physicals I
have had for Star Fleet, not a one used a needle of any things.  Or is this
a challenge designed to haze the new Officers on the ship?”

He listened patiently to the doctor’s explanation before she asked him “vaj
chovbus’a’?”



The half-Klingon cocked his head to the side, “My dear Doctor, pray tell do
you always speak Klingon to those who look like me?  Do you assume that we
all speak Klingon?” he asked seriously.



He waited a beat before tipping his head back and releasing a loud
belly-laugh.  “jl’elrp. Dah lghchoH ‘ej ram vIneH.”
