ILLUMINARRPG: (6-0545) Marine 2LT Temerity

Mission:  Soliloquy

Day: 6

Stardate: 2446.07.10



(USS Raptor – Deck 1 – Bridge – Marine – 2LT Charles Temerity – 0545)



Temerity spent the last several hours assisting at the various bridge
stations when an extra pair of hans were needed.  When he wasn’t helping he
could be found standing near the command chair paying attention to
everything that had been happening.  There were times that he wanted to ask
questions so he could better understand why the captain decided certain
courses of action over others. But he presumed waiting until after everyone
was safe and secure would be best before doing so.



Every so often something would catch his eye and he would quietly walk over
and give assistance. Once the moment was done, he quietly returned to the
Captain’s side.  Some of the crew would say “Thank You” of some fashion,
but the first few times they were surprised to see not fleet officer, but a
Marine. Temerity figured that the part that was truly surprising was a
Marine that knew and understood the working of a ships bridge.



Throughout the operation, Temerity had predominantly assisted with
Navigation, and Operations and found he rather enjoyed doing so.  Someone
once said ‘Do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life.’ And
while that may be true, he also agreed that ‘Variety is the Spice of life’.
And he also enjoyed being on the ground helping people. Perhaps if he
manages to get promoted to Major, he can see about getting added to the
Bridge Watch rotation once every other week.



Then he heard the Captain address him. As he faced the Vulcan, he
responded, “Yes, Sir?”.
