ILLUMINARRPG: (4-0900) Pilot - Lt. Arthur ‘Snoopy’ Corday

(USS Pasteur - Flight Deck - Pilot - Lt. Arthur ‘Snoopy’ Corday - 0900)


The pain reliever that Dr. Solice had given Arthur took the edge of the throb in the back of his brain away, but it never really went away.  It was like a phantom ache.  There but not there, constantly pressing against the back of his eyes.  But he was able to focus.


The twenty minute time frame had passed and Snoopy prepared to take off.  As the ship left the ground he noted that the security team was a little slow to make their way back to the Hilary.  He had a feeling that Dogan was dragging his heels on purpose.  After a while he had gotten a feel for the Brikar and knew that something was bugging him about the scene with the Tellarites.


“Pateur to Hilary,” he opened the comm channel, “we are preparing to head back to the Illuminar with our… cargo.”


(reply Montero, or anyone at the Hilary)


He began to scan the ion field ahead of him and notice that it had changed.  Intensified.  He began to look for alternate routes, but it was fruitless.  Finally he turned to Solice and Gregory.


“Dr. Solace, we are not going to be able to leave the planet right now,” he reported.


(reply Solice)


“The ion field has increased,” he said.  “In some ways, it’s like a real storm.  It has ebbs and flows.  Right now we are at a pinnacle.  If we try to get through that right now it will destroy the shuttle.  The Hilary won’t fare any better.  For better of worse, we’re grounded.  Where would you like me to put her down?”

NRPG:  In an effort to pull the timelines of the two teams closer this ion storm will last a couple of hours.  We will be out of contact with the Illuminar as well.  However, we should be able to communicate between the ships.
