(USS Illuminar - Deck 14 - Brig - Counselor/ Bondmate - Temas Laredo - 1302)


Temas took a bite of chicken and looked up when Alex started to talk.

“One of these days, I should you tell you about the kitchen disasters we had at the orphanage,” He paused. “The facilities were far from up-to-date, so we had to cook. And it didn’t always end well.”

Temas chuckled, “I can only imagine.“

“Emile and I had plenty of adventures in the Santa Maria.” Alex said. “Punching bullies, chasing girls, killing Reapers. That last one is a longer story.” ~Got me into the gym, however, the M8 Avenger Assault Rifle is heavy.~

“I would love to talk with you more about those experiences Alex,” Temas said, “later.  However, I believe that today we have…” he looked at the chicken in his hand, “other chicken to fry.”

 “So, what do you want know, doc?” Dyson asked.

“Please, Temas,” Laredo insisted. “Even though I have a doctorate in Interpecies Psychology, I also have one in Intergalactic Law, so when someone calls me doctor I’m never sure which one is being referenced.”  He chuckled a little at his own dilemma.  “However, I’m curious why it is that you seem to feel the constant need to supply people with your resume of traumatic experiences?  It’s almost as though you have something to prove.  Whether it’s to others or to yourself.”
