(USS Illuminar - Deck 14 - Brig - Counselor/ Bondmate - Temas Laredo - 1300)


Temas walked into the brig area with a tray of food and a flask of a liquid. To be honest he had not felt any nefarious intentions from Alex Dyson during his previous two meetings, but he had not been able to convince Luma of that. She’d been insistent on waiting for confirmation from Michael Weston of the man’s innocence from being a rogue SFI operative.


He looked over at the officer at the controls of the cells and smiled noting it was Larry Day.


“Lucky,” he said, genuinely pleased to see the man, “how are things going?”


Larry looked up and beamed, “Doctor Laredo, great to see you. Things are going well. I’ve managed to reconnect with Ned.”


“That’s fantastic!” Temas replied. “And Sandy?”


“He’s always been the stubborn SOB,” Lucky replied. “But I’m confident he’ll come around eventually.  What are you doing here?  I’m not due for our appointment for another week.”


“I’m here to speak with your guest,” Temas assured him. “Could you lower the forcefield? I think it’s highly unlikely that he will try to overcome me and escape.”


Larry almost laughed, “I suppose you’re right. Go stand by the cell and I’ll turn it off.”


Temas nodded and moved to the cell, “Good afternoon Alex. Are you ready for our talk?”


He could feel the him of the security field die and Larry Day came over with a chair and a collapsible table for Temas.


“Thank you Larry,” Temas said as he placed the tray on the table. Then he sat down and lifted the cover off the food. “I do hope you like fried chicken. I’ve come to find it quite tasty.”
