Mission: Big Trouble in Little Qo’nos

NRPG: Part 3 of 4. RPG: 

 

(New Romulus – New Romulus City – Police Officer Gaius Aquilia  – 0745)

 

Gaius was following the two Klingon security officers who were doingtheir best to sneak around the city. Currently, they were headed back to LittleQo’nos. They had sneaked out of the north-west gate at 0400, which Gaius hadnoticed. He had been following them since then. They had been talking to people,asking them about somebody called Mackenzie. 

 

The people they were talking to were known that have some connectionsaround the planet. For example, a jeweler called Varro Zoras had shops in severaltowns and was well-known to the local traders. This led to him and his employeeshearing all sorts of gossip from these towns.

 

~Whatever they are doing. It’s off-the-record.~ They were heading backbecause their official shifts began at 0800. He watched as they passed throughthe north-east gate, then headed back for the police station. It was time forhim to check some records. Once that was done, he would be able to decide whatto do next.

 

(New Romulus – Little Qo’nos - Security Officers J’ck and Yo – 0747)

 

J’ck and Yo had noticed the Romulan cop following them as soon as theyhad left Little Qo’nos. But they had not wanted to draw attention, so they hadplayed dumb. They had disguised themselves as best as they could, but they hadto work their shift now. ~If the ambassador finds out, we’ll be in deep trouble.~

 

Maybe their contacts could provide them answers after their shift. Butfor now, they would have to play it coy. They reached the Embassy and sneakedto a window that led into the basement. J’ck was not supposed to have the codethat opened it. But The Dirty was known to be sloppy with his codes sometimes.He keyed in the code and the window opened. So they sneaked in, closing andlocking the window behind them. The game was now truly afoot.

 

(New Romulus City – Police Station 2, Computer Room - Police OfficerGaius Aquilia  – 0802)

 

It had been a short walk back to the station. Mackenzie was an odd namefor a Klingon, so Gaius was sure that finding this person – if they were aKlingon – would not be hard. His first attempt had been to search the official registryof Klingons on the planet. That had not generated a result. 

 

But every civilian ship had to provide a passenger manifest before itwas allowed to enter orbit. He searched the database and got back several results.Then he began running through them until he hit the manifest of the SS Bucket.~Mackenzie Dyson, Klingon-Human hybrid from Farius Prime.~ It was the best candidatehe had. He took out his communicator and flipped it open. The time had come toinform his superiors.
