ILLUMINARRPG: (5-2300) Drs. Gaillus Penn and Teller

(USS Illuminar - Deck 6 - Laboratory of Drs. Gaillus Penn and Teller - Drs. Gaillus Penn and Teller, 2300)


The bright light lit up the quiet lab. Two computer terminals hummed as they searched through every minute piece of information they could gather following the parameters set by Penn and Teller.


The two scientists had been a constant motion as they fine tuned their algorithms to get the computer to search for more information quicker. They had been at it nonstop for more than twenty-four hours.


Now it was quiet. Penn was slumped over his desk, head testing on his arms, and snoring loudly. A tiny pool of Benzite drool had formed on the tabletop. Periodically he would start to mumble in his sleep.


On the other side of the room Teller was sitting in a chair, his arms hanging over the sides and his head laid all the way back. His mouth hung open as he breathed rhythmic through it. His robe hung open to show him only wearing a white t-shirt and a pair of boxers under it. On his forehead rested his cowboy hat, covering his eyes.


As they slept the computer worked. Suddenly it stopped. The screen flashed red and an alert pinged. But neither of the exhausted scientists responded.


Data now flowed across the unmonitored screen, waiting to be noticed
