(Qo’nos - Mysterious Figures - 2300)
The figure was cloaked in darkness, hood over the head. He or she
walked with purpose, furtively looking behind to see if they were being
followed.
After several turns, the figure turned down a long path, walking close
to the wall. He stopped at a door with a large (is there any other
sort?) Kingon outside. “blmevlaHbe’,” he said angrily.
The figure reached up and touched the Klingon’s neck. Seconds later,
before the warrior could draw a weapon, he collapsed on the ground.
Entering through the door, the figure headed up a set of stairs.
Pausing for a moment in front of another door, he entered a code on the
keypad there. The door slid open and the figure entered.
In the room was a table, and around the table were three Klingons.
“blpaS” one said.
“I cannot just disappear, I had to wait for an opportune moment.” came
the reply.
“qo;DaQoyDl’ b;Hegh”
The figure reached under the cloak and pulled out a data crystal, “Of
course,” the figure said, holding the pinkish crystal up to the light.
“Such a small thing, really, and so valuable,” he said placing it on the
table. “Why does the house of Antaak want this information?”
Third Klingon smiled, “vaj ghltlhmeyvam ghovchu; je. Our house is as
old as the house of Duras, but our fortunes followed very different
paths. It is time for us to get off the sidelines and regain what is
ours. And to lead the Empire away from the direction it is going on.
We are becoming toothless old Targs, rooting around for scraps of glory.”
The figure nodded, “And it will do good to have the Federation with a
real, tangible enemy. It is only logical that it be the Klingon empire.”
“HIja’” came the reply.
“And what of the third partner in this little passion play?” the figure
asked.
As if on que, a figure in an environmental suit made its way into the
room. It emitted a series of sounds like nails on a chalkboard
interspersed with sounds of rocks clashing together. The environmental
suit did little to prevent the unusual odor from eminating from the
third figure.
“Yes, the information on the planetary defenses is there. Soon you will
have all the Zutotanium you need to power your ships and put an end to
the threat the Gorn pose your people.”
The Klingons raised their mugs of bloodwine and drank. “Come, drink with
us. To our success.”
The figure shook his head. “No, I am afraid I must return before I am
missed.”
With that, the figure left, but not before a glimpse of the figures
pointed ears was visible.
