(Qo'nos-  Council Chamber - Minister Pe'tah - 0855)


Galk’s speech, for lack of a better term, was moving.  The new head of the Empirial House had just relinquished control of part of his holdings to his cha’Ditch.  It was an unprecedented move, considering he’d spent the last two days trying to convince the council to accept Trei as a Klingon in the first place.  Now it was almost a royal decree.  He wondered how that might affect future requests from hybrid Klingons.  This was a beginning, but he knew that the fight for equality was far from over.


As Galk headed out of the Great Hall the crowd parted, as if by magic, like the waters of a great sea being held back by the Gods.  As he passed by Pe’tah he gavehim a nod.  The Minister noted the look of appreciation in the big Klingon’s eyes and nodded in return.  Suddenly he could feel a wave of pleasure and excitement course through him.  The words came out of his mouth on their own volition.


“May the House of Jos continue to show honor and courage,” he cried.  “Galk, Galk, Galk.”


A moment later his voice was joined by those that had been in support of his efforts.  Then slowly, one by one, the other council members joined.  A chorus of Galk’s name rang throughout the Hall, and down the corridor as the doors opened and Galk and Trei left the chamber.


When the doors closed Morek attempted to regain some of his control.  He had been dealt a terrible blow to his power, but Pe’tah knew that that Klingon’s ambition would not be cooled for long.  Pe’tah was certain that the wheels were already turning in Morek’s head about how he could regain that power.  Galk was going to need all of the allies he could get.  Pe’tah needed to gather his supporters.


As the crew came in to clean up the chamber Pe’tah already started walking through the chamber setting up meetings to happen in private.  Then he needed to attend to his guests.
