(USS Illuminar – Deck 3, Kelly Long's Quarters – SO Ensign Kelly Long - 1645) 

Kelly was in a darkplace. After she had been thrown out of the ventilation tubes by the Klingon maintenanceman, she had been send back to the ship. It was on the way back to her quartersthat she had learned about Joy Chinlo’s death. ~You stupid girl, you shouldhave gone with her.~ Now it was only a matter of time before Commander T’Murshowed up to scold her. 

Asin on cue, the door bell rang. ~Better to get it over it.~ Even if she told T’Murto go away, the Commander would still come in. So she sat down and sighed.

“Enter.”

“Saveme the speech, Commander. Joy Chinlo is dead and it’s my fault. I should havechecked with you before going down there. The smell was too little to go on, etc.,etc.” She leaned back in her chair. 

“So, why don’t we skip the part whereyou pretend you care about us random redshirts and get to my punishment ?”
