T'Mur looked at the doctor impassively as she received what little information she was given. She had hoped that there would be a little more that might help to discover Ensign Long's location. P'Rah had clearly wanted to go back to the surface to find her, but T'Mur was not about to send anyone else to that area without a full team to back them up. There was too little information, and if Long were still alive she was on her own for the moment.

"Do you have an estimated time that I might get more information?" T'Mur asked.

Vanderstein was getting a look of irritation when she said, "The medics need time to take initial scans and prep the body for a full autopsy.”

That was her que to step back and let the medical staff do their job. As she stepped out of sickbay the Chief of Security thought it would be prudent to check on the condition of the ship and how the explosion occured. She headed up to the bridge,

As she stepped onto the bridge it seemed like a different place. The constant hum and sounds of equipment working were almost comforting to the sounds of the council ante room. She nodded to Quinna and tipped her head to indicate that she wanted to talk to Taylor first.

Taylor stood up and stepped back from the tactical station. "Nothing out there now," he reported, anticipating her question. "It all looks like typical space traffic that one would expect around the Klingon homeworld. Everything that would normally go through this area has been diverted as we requested."

T'Mur nodded, "Excellent. And I want to thank you for the fast action that prevented any further damage to the ship."

"Yeah," Taylor said, "well, if it had gone off inside the shuttlebay who knows how much damage it would have done."

"I imagine you have already worked that out, Lieutenant," T'Mur said, knowing her ATac's penchant for explosives.

Taylor chuckled, "You got that right." He pulled up his calculations and their likely outcomes and showed them to his boss. T'Mur raised an eyebrow. It could have been catastrophic.

With a final nod, she turned to move toward Quinna. However, before she could get there her comm badge chirped. The gravelly voice of Dogan came across it.

=^=Lt. Commander T'Mur, Ensign Long has been returned to us.=^=

"Understood," T'Mur replied. "Have her return to the ship and confine herself to her quarters until I have time to speak to her. I am already on the Illuminar."

=^=Roger that,=^=

The channel closed and T'Mur looked at Quinna. "I am sorry Commander, I will check in with you before returning to the surface, but this is a matter that needs my immediate attention."

T'Mur turned and left the bridge.

T'Mur looked at the door trying to consider what tact to take with her. Long was human, and an emotional human at that. However, whatever had transpired on the surface was her. However, she knew that ultimately the responsibility for the crew's safety had fallen on her own shoulders. She had made an error. One that she was going to have to repair now. She reached out and tapped the door chime.
