Mission: For Honor
Day: 5
Stardate: 2446.04.29
( Qo'nos- Diplomatic Suites - SecO, Lieutenant Galk, Son of Jos of the
house of Kor - 0758)
Ariel Trei wasted no time in accepting his proposal as expected. He gave a
sharp nod of his head at the reply.
"Thank you for being my advocate. I am honored to be your Cha'Dich. Can
you inform me of what I am advocating for you?"
The first hurdle would be in getting through T'Mur and while he didn't want
to do battle with her he would not be deterred from what destiny had in
store, no matter what it took to get to the destination. He could see in
her eyes that she understood this.
She hesitated before nodding her acceptance, "I understand. I will urge
the captain to accept your petition. We should be called back into the
Main Hall soon. You will accompany us then. Wait here." As she moved off
Galk turned to Trei.
"Here then is my petition before the Council. The House of Kor was
dissolved unlawfully following his death due to a surviving heir, Jos son
of Kor my father."
(Reply: Trei)
Her confusion was evident.
"Kor did indeed have a surviving heir despite what you have heard. Jos was
believed to have died in battle but he survived. The Chancellor Gowron
found out of this but suppressed word of his recovery and had him
imprisoned on Rura Pente. The reason?" His eyes were hard pools of
darkness. "Kor was old and Gowron desired the holdings of the Imperial
House, upon his death Gowron snatched those holdings for his own."
(Reply: Trei)
Galk slid out of the straps that held the weapon case from his back and
shrugged it off then grounded it between them. He opened the flap exposing
the bat'leth within then drew it out. The weapon had ga'rel wood inlaid in
the handle which was worn and yellowed with age. The leather wound around
it was supple and had been replaced by himself. His index finger pointed
out the engraving in the center of the blade. "The crest of the Imperial
House."
(Reply: Trei)
Replacing the weapon within the case he passed it to her then reached into
a breast pocket and extracted a reddish orange chip. "Proof of Jos'
incarceration and presence on Rura Pente. One of my crew had spent time as
a jailer there and knew of him. When he learned of our relation he told me
of this and I made the journey to see for myself."
(Reply: Trei)
Galk's lips pulled back from his teeth. "My mother was not his wife and Jos
was unmated. My birth was never a matter of record. When I told him who I
was he accepted it unconditionally, told me where to find the bat'leth and
offered it to me as his sole heir." He passed Trei the chip as well.
"You will present my petition to the Chancellor." A rumble of something
that may have been laughter rumbled from his throat. "I do not expect
Eshag, son of Martok to give the holdings up willingly and will have to
kill him in honorable combat."
(Reply: Trei)
