(USS Illuminar - Deck 5 - Medical - SO CPO P'Rah - 1620)

P'Rah carried the body to where the medical staff directed him to. Laying the body down on the table as carefully as he could, he stepped away into a nurse who insisted on checking him over. "Its not my blood," he growled, but submitted to the quick scan.

~There is going to be hell to pay~ he thought. ~The Ensign will have some explaining to do, as will he and Devers.~ Shaking his head, he stood there. He knew he had to get back to the surface, if nothing else, to go find Ensign Long, and hope she was not dead as well.

"Mr. P'Rah, Report," Chief T'Mur said.

He resisted the instinct to jump back as he starred at the Chief.

"Crewman Chinlo is dead, her attacker is unknown. Perhaps the doctor can give us a clue. Her carotid artery was severed, so dead was almost instantaneous," he said.

"On orders of Ensign Long, Chinlo, and I accompanied her into the ventilation system. I had been hearing a strange noise, like someone was hitting the metal with a small hammer. That coupled with strange odors raised suspicions with the Ensign. We started exploring and came to a junction with a vertical tunnel. There were more noises and part of the tunnel gave way, dropping the Ensign down a level. She ordered me to continue to explore and Crewman Chinlo to head to the surface." He paused. "I followed the smell of blood, and found her dead, blood pooled around her. I brought her to the surface, notified Herc, sorry Mr. Devers, and came here. I was going to change and go back down there, to find Ensign Long," he concluded.

He watched as the Chief frowned "I want a full report in an hour," she said.

"Ma'am, with respect, don't you think the report can wait till Ensign Long is back?"

He waited an uncomfortable minute for a response, then shrugged. “Yes, Ma’am.”

The Caitian nodded, and headed down to the security office to begin his report. Every minute on the report was a minute that Ensign Long was alone. He sighed as his tail swished side to side.
