(USS Illuminar - Deck 11 - Main Engineering - EO - ENS/JG - Dano Vermyx -
1450)

The young woman's eyes darted back and forth. She was obviously scanning
for other crewpersons, and clearly taking Vermyx for the 'point man,' Dano
thought. Once she realized the two were alone, she visibly relaxed rather
quickly.

“Ummm, thanks,” she managed, “I guess?  You actually have a pet lucidan?
You don’t see that every day?”

"Well I do. It's my pet, after all, ain't it," Vermyx chuckled.

“What makes you think she’d be in here?” she asked.

"Saw her come in here. See, lucidans are attracted to sound, particularly
rhythmic vibrations. And the noisiest room in the whole tub is engineering,
even when the warp core ain't thrummin', y'dig?"

“Does she have a name?” she asked. “For that matter, do you?”

"Never saw much point in namin' her. She never comes when I call her, but
yeah … her name's Fluffy. Mine, onna othah hand, is Dano 'the Kronk'
Vermyx," he said, making an ostentatious show of tipping his hat and bowing
in one motion.

NRPG: If anyone had ever suggested there'd be a scene with Wednesday Addams
and "Dick Tracy", I'd've never believed it.
